It looks bulky but i think its good for protection incase your AirPods will be dropped.

Really good box, enough room for the charger and protects your pods well. I know this as we bought it for the daughter who drops everything - and yes, she has dropped them many times in this case and there is no marks to the case or the white ear pod case, so it does its job
