A Quality Fisheye Lens for M 4/3 at a great price
7 Artisans makes some very fine quality lenses especially at the price. This lens is no exception.. Solid build, all metal construction, light weight and a nice balance on my smaller Olympus M5 Mk III (also nice on my M1 Mk III).It has a quality Metal Lens Cover. There is a small built in lens hood but be warned, being a fisheye the front on the lens the typical "bulge" curvature so you can't add a filter and you want to handle it with care which I do with all of my lenses.Very easy to focus but for a manual Fisheye unless you are shooting closeup they all focus very easily. To make things easier you can use Focus Peaking on you camera for even more accurate results. f stop and focus rings are very smooth. The f stop is NOT a click type but it really does not matter as it's cleary marked for all of the normal f stops.Color capture is also very good and quite accuarate. Also note: this is not a "Circular" fisheye but a linear one so you will not get the Round Fisheye effect (for that look at a MEIKE or other brand). The effect here is a super wide "curved" looked which will be accentuated when shooting certain scenes like Architecture, Interiors and subjects that portray straight lines such as trees, bridges, etc.A quick note: there is a version II of this lens, which I tested and it is not any sharper or better IMO, and it only stops down to f16 where as this version has an f22 which in pratice means that at f16 this lens will perform better.I only included one quick test shot, straight from the camera with this review so you can see the quality. If you want a quality, low cost FishEye type of lens you can not go wrong with this 7Artisans 7.5

Doesn't fit Olympus OMD EM5 ii
Ordered this for my Olympus and lens doesn't fit. Specs say it should but its too big. Going to take the extra step of looking for an adapter but might return. Disappointing.

Love the lens, good value for price.
This product is great except for the lack of consistency in its sharpness. Gotta stop it down a lot to receive good consistent results. Attached 2 photos I took with the lens.

Must buy for MFT! Superwide! F2.8!
Just got this same day and slapped it on. Thank you Amazon. I will be using it to cover my upcoming weekend getaway. A great review on photobyrichardcom. Quick facts: compact size (not a huge zoom), metal mount, tight lens cap, clickless aperatures for video, smooth focus ring, real rear cap, a bit hefty (feel solid), good contrast. Was designed for APS-C so that edge effects are minimalized, making this lens more useful as an ultrawide- no more saying MFT has no wide angles. Shooting on Panasonic bodies with stabilization, set to 8mm and get smooth videos. On UHD mode, there is a 2.3x crop so that the fish eye is further defished- only the extreme 1/5 of the frame shows curves easily. Sharpness for photos is above average- crisp edges at F4 and smaller. For video, everything is crisp including edges at F4 with leaves looking crisp and shiny. The best attributes: F2.8 and edge sharpness. This lens is a no brainer. I had the 15mm fisheye on a Canon body and this comes close! The competition is the Rokinon/Samyang and the Laowa. They're all good, but as this is a specialty lens, you lose nothing. You get speed, sharpness, quality construction. Fisheyes like this are set it at 3 feet and just shoot, so that AF is not important. That's why people like the GoPro because they are fixed focus- no need to mess up the focus. But this lens can focus much closer than that if necessary for awesome bokeh effects. It used to be hard to get a wide angle for MFT, but these recent fisheyes and the rectilinear Laowa is widening (pun intended) the use for these cameras especially for video. So amazing that these MFT lenses are so compact. I have a Sony Nex system and even an A7 system, but MFT has kept the lenses and bodies small and light, but super high quality!

Focus problem?
I am willing to admit if it was me, but i had problems focusing this lens. I will include a link to a video i made with the lens. I am curious if this is normal for others who have purchased this lens. I did watch other videos about it and it seemed easy enough to use.I have used manual focus lenses before and photography in general is not a new thing for me. I know my way around cameras. This is just to say i am not a newbie and understand how things work.I am not allowed to post a video here, but ibam happy to share it on YouTube. Just search for 7artisans eball. I still gave it three stars because the weight is good and seemed like good quality. I just had issues. I did return it for a refund but I would like this lens.
