An epic dream that came true.
What a biography.!! Absolutely fantastic. Its unbelievable how politicians and bureaucrats put all sorts of objections to an idea which stunned the world by 'Operation Flood' If this country has to improve the Bureaucrats (IAS,IFS,IPS) must be abolished ,the majority of whom are worse than the usually uneducated politicians. Let this all knowing pseudo intellectuals be discarded into the waste bin. They are the root cause of delaying progress in our country .

This is one of the finest autobiography which I have read till now
This is one of the finest autobiography which I have read till now. The author experience in setting up of AMUL and his experience with bureaucracy and different prime -ministers puts things into perspective. This book is about that if you have good cause to work for then every effort to get it done is worth it. Dedication of Verghese Kurien in ensuring that farmers get their different due and his efforts to empower them by letting them visit facilities of AMUL and educating them about the benefits of cooperatives to bring collective development is a model which must be pursued by the govt. His efforts to organize cooperative in the field of salt production, distribution of fruits and vegetable, distribution of edible oil in the name of Dhara is a showcase of his belief in the cooperative to bring shared happiness. This book is a must read for anybody who is interested in knowing more about India and AMuL.

A masterpiece dedicated to an extraordinary person..
As a veterinary graduate I am privileged to read this amazing book. I was always asked a question many times that who is the father of white revolution and the answer is the person the book is dedicated to. Amul has become a global brand and the whole credit goes to Dr Kurien. Loved to read this book and admired his vision to make milk available to every household and transform rural economy. His ideas will definitely help me in future. Thanks Dr Kurien for your contribution.

Great Visionary with sighted dreams
I loved the narration through which he has depicted the entire journey of India being importer of milk to become one of the largest milk producing countries. His area of interest were not limited to milk only rather expanded up to Oil, salt, cotton and other edibles. One the important thing i noticed that his continuous agony towards Indian bureaucracy and government which becomes hindrance to economic and social revival. In his every every enterprise he emphasized on the importance of true democracy and how power should be federated to the produced not with the people with vested interest sitting in Delhi. If today's running govt would emulate his teaching we could have have soaring in the sky along with developed nation. Hats off to this great visionary.

Excellent!!
The book is a rich and deserving tribute to one of the true patriots of India. Crores of Indians take availability of milk for granted everday, little realizing that Dr. Kurien was the architect for India becoming the world's largest producer of milk. it is heart rending to know the official apathy and beauracratic hurdles that he faced and overcame successfully. Indian farmers will forever be indebted to this great man.The book is a must read.
