Close to perfection
First ,this knife is off to a good start in restoring my faith in CRKT. This is now my favorite every day carry knife, because it opens with such ease and closes just as easy. Quality is great. I see no tool marks or burs. The handle feels great for my arthritic hands. Very sharp out of the box. I only wish CRKT would start using harder steel for the blades. My last few knives from CRKT were not up to CRKT standards. This and the Gung-Ho and restoring my faith in them. The blade is perfectly centered and lock up is perfect. The aluminum handle feels good in my hands however if you get wet hands I can see how it would be a bit slippery. This will replace my Delica 4 for my EDC in most cases. The Delica 4 has a better steel blade and the blade shape is better for more cutting tasks but due to it shape it takes up more room in the pocket if that sort of thing matters to you. The Delica 4 appears lighter which is nice however the Caligo is very light. The Caligo clip could be better. Overall, I rate the Caligo over the Delica 4. 1, Caligo, 2, Delica 4, 3, CRKT Gung-Ho. For larger knife carry paramilitary 2, Endura 4, CRKT M16 and 21 full sized series. The Benchmade Griptitian 551 and 551-1 I rate as best overall large EDC. The Caligo is an outstanding choice for a small lightweight carry knife as close to perfection as of now

Good design but let down my poor materials
Good:The action is stellar. Caged ikbs bearings make this knife flip amazingly for its price. The carry is just good. The knife is light and a just deep enough carry makes it a very nice knife to carry.Bad:The ergonomics are just alright. The lockbar is heavily textured and it digs into your index finger. The lockup. My lock up is rather late and if I push hard through a cutting media the lock bar can slide completely over. The black aluminum wore quickly and has already started to get scratched and lose it's color.Lastly the steel is 8cr13mov. It dulls on me midway through the day which is sad. The blade is actually ground well and when sharp it cuts just as well as you'd expect. If this were to be upgraded to D2(it's already coated) it would be a very excellent knife. As of now it is just kind of meh.

Blade centering is perfect. Absolutely no blade play
This is the second Caligo I've purchased (the first was from Blade HQ). I would have no problem paying $45-$50 for this knife. I own several folding knives of various brands and price points, and for a budget blade, this is phenomenal. Right out of the box, it flips open smoothly. Lock up is solid. Blade centering is perfect. Absolutely no blade play. I haven't had to make any adjustments so far. I've EDC'd this for almost a month now, and have no complaints, hence why I'm getting another. At this price it just makes sense to get more than one. It would be really cool if they were to release a version with a higher quality blade steel, but 8cr13mov seems to be the standard now for budget production knives. I'm sure people would pay the extra for 440c or D2, especially since the blade is coated. Thank you and congratulations T.J. Schwartz for bringing this to the community.Note: as many of you reading this probably already know, you should be careful where you're buying your knives from. Some sellers (including some on A*az#n) have been known to sell factory 2nds, or even counterfeit knives (among other products).

Weak detent, poor ergos
I bought this knife on a whim after seeing a review of it on YouTube. What a disappointment. The detent is very weak on this sample. The the handles are very slippery, and the knife has totally useless, barely noticeable jimping on the spine. It’s also very thick behind the edge.If you want a boring knife that has sub par ergonomics, a weak action, and a poor grind, this is the knife for you.
