I thought I was ordering more of a satin type elastic, so I was surprised when I opened the package. Guess I should have zoomed in more on my phone before ordering it (oops). But for the product that it actually is, I was really surprised that it only stretches the length of the elastic, and not top to bottom. Usually elastics like this are a 4way type stretch. The elastic is also about 1mm thick. Not yet sure what I’ll use it for, since it doesn’t meet the needs of my project, but at least it feels decently sturdy, so we’ll see what I find for it.

The thickness is on the lower side. You can see through it is you pull it to full stretch. For the price this is an acceptable value for money. What is not acceptable is the account of fraying that happens. You can't use this for a project where your elastic is exposed. Once it catches it unravels quickly. Other reviewers did say it unravels easily so I wish I'd listen to thrm

I recently run out my old elastic and my local sewing suppler stopped their business, so I found these here. I insert them to the sides of pants from my waistline down to lower hip. They serve the purpose beautifully.Because I have a fuller hip compared to my legs, I always purchase size 2 pants/jeans and alter the top 1/3 of them to get the perfect fit. So glad I am able to continue to do this with my new elastics.

I bought this so I could make my own waist trainer. What I like is that it was super long (it could wrap around my waist and big gut 4x). I was also impressed with the stretch and the quality of the material

The description states this is "heavy duty" elastic. This is not heavy duty compared to most of the 2" elastic one can purchase.For light weight belts and similar uses this would be ok.
