Rheem KING Oil Tank Gauge

I have a dual tank system, one tank had to be original, always read empty and was difficult to read regardless. Was a little concerned the float broke and was at the bottom of the tank, but fortunately it came out intact. Totally saturated with oil and deteriorated. Clearly it was sinking to the bottom, even with oil in tank. This replacement was easy to install and is obviously way more accurate and easy to read. Suppose it’s a little pricey for what it is, but it’s purpose built, good quality, and does its job well. Glad I swapped it out!

Bought this because the gauge on my 30-year old oil tank stopped working. Easy to install. Large indicator with clear markings. Tank was filled this week and the gauge is up at the full line. Happy with the purchase.

Product is good quality, install was 10 minutes working carefully, and unit is working well. Recommended for 275 gallon blended oil tanks.Install instructions are on box. I've included some images. I applied this info to remove the old one as well. (removed cap and held old assembly in position) That kept debris from the old assy from busting up and falling into the tank during removal.Test your new gauge to verify functionality and so you are familiar with how it works before install. You'll need a decent pipe wrench that can handle 2". Clean the area first to keep debris out of tank and I lowered heater temp to 40 so it wouldn't start up during install but you could throw the breaker instead. If your tank is indoors or in an enclosure remember vapors will vent out during install, so open a door or window and beware of ignitions sources. No fans.

Would have kept but was too short. Returned for longer one.

Easy to install works great

The product came in quickly and fit my application perfectly! The only thing I had to add was some T-tape on the threads to make sure of no leaks.
