Went vegetarian a year ago and I make steamed vegetables six or seven nights a week. I've been using an old folding basket-type steamer with legs in a soup pot but it has never been quite right and the folding basket steamers are hard to wash. I browsed Amazon and looked for good reviews. This is the exact right pot and steamer! Big and beautiful and lots of room for the vegetables but lots of room for the water so that it won't evaporate while boiling and burn the pot. Well made and very pretty to look at. Perfect pot! I love it.

I love the fact that is heats up fast and the steamer is light. The size is good for variety of vegetables. The only reason I could not give 5 stars: It left stain, water drop-like round markings on bottom of the inside pot. The sides are just fine, but I am thinking perhaps the bottom of the pot is not the same material as other sides; it is purely my guess.

Very well constructed with attention paid to the finish. It is made from a light gauge stainless steel which I thought at first would not do the job - but it works fine and I am happy with how it works.

Bought this in Nov and by Mar there was a small hole that leaks on the bottom of the pot already. Can’t use anymore! Disappointing after spending over $50!!

I purchased this pot for the sole purpose of using it to boil water for a special tea. This is my very first stainless steel pot and I was amazed at how light it was and once heated the handles were heat resistant; I did not need a pot holder to pick it up. Since I have not used it for steaming, I can’t say how that part works. The pot itself looks better that the picture and it is easy to clean. I love the fact that the top is clear. Even though this pot is dishwasher safe, I wash it by hand and immediately dry it off so as not to have water spots. I’m overly pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a stainless steel pot.

I really like the steamer pot as it is the size of a large potato pot and it allows me to steam several vegetables at once.You can steam almost anything in this pot.
