Roundhill Furniture Multifunction Wooden Storage Cube, Espresso

This was definitely a little hard to assemble, but it still took me less than 15 minutes to do so. It's a great size, it's a mixed use for me (storage, side table, and cat TV bed). It matches the ret of the wood furniture that I have which makes me happy. I did almost break the hatches used to hold it all together, but it was my own fault.The instructions could be better- when I was putting this together, the trouble I had was that I put 3 side pieces together no problem, but the last side piece was where I had a problem! The way the pieces are held together is with little hatches that are open to fit into little slots, and then you close them to tighten the screw and keep it closed - I was doing this to all the pieces I put together along the way, so each piece was tightened and in place. The last piece was not fitting because I had already tightened the two pieces on either side of where the last piece had to go, so there was no give to let the last piece go where they had to. If the instructions noted that the hatches on the bottom piece, closest to where the last piece had to go had to be loose to get that last piece in, it would have saved me probably 10 minutes of trying to force a piece into a too tight of a space! I did scratch up the inside a bit, but I rarely have to see the inside so.. who cares? It's a functional piece of furniture, so I have no complaints. Hopefully my description of my issue will help someone else, though!Sorry for the bad lighting in my picture.

The cubes look okay after assembling. However the latch mechanism is not all that great. It takes one or two latches to be faulty for there to be an open crack along one edge. I had to finally screw one edge to another using wood screws as the latch on one cube along the side was faulty. Buy if you are sure to make it work in case of such incidents.

This is a nightmare to assemble. First, the hardware is cheap plastic - I broke one piece immediately when I snapped it into place, and 3 more cracked their wood casing area when positioned. Second, the design defies logic - you need to insert tabs into slots, and to do this, you have to simultaneously hold 2 tabs on a vertical piece in the upward position with your fingers while you maneuver them into place with the slots, and do the same on a horizontal piece (the bottom). Gravity has defeated me many times as I get the horizontal pieces in place only to lose control of the vertical pieces. The inside is consequently badly scratched. I'm going to remove all the hardware and use Liquid Nails.

It has more of red tint that we would've liked. We were hoping for a dark brown espresso color.

Great quality, easy to put together, nice and simple clean lines, love the storage feature, which is exactly what I was looking for, makes the living room look so much more tidy, and, I like that they're functional AND look nice! I bought two. Fast ship and would buy again.

Got two of these for use as end tables, my son took one as a night stand. Inside he keeps extra linens. Very sturdy and well made
