Ingenious Device
In one minute you can convert an SPD pedal to a flat pedal to allow for shoes without cleats. Nice job

These are great!
Got these because a friend and I were planning on switching bikes and she has clipless pedals, I have Zefal toe clips (which I love). First I wasn't looking forward to finding out if they even fit on her Shimano pedals (they did) and how much trouble I might have installing them. They went on in a breeze! I was kind of shocked, what, no problem? Then I thought I might have trouble removing them, since they were going on my friend's bike. I didn't want to be charged with leaving her with little platforms on her pedals. They also came off in a snap (literally). The 'tool' could be anything that fits in the hole of the little platform as a lever to just pop it off. I used a hex wrench I had handy, but it could be anything, screwdriver, small pocket knife, etc. I'm usually a very positive type but for some reason I was expecting trouble. Maybe because I don't have clipless pedals (an oxymoron) Not so! They are really easy to install and remove. Less than a minute for each. I recommend wearing sneakers or something 'grippy'. I was wearing bike shoes and they were a little too slippery. Great, well designed product.

A bit too small
I bought these for my trainer which has a Trek Domane mounted with spd pedals. I don't like clomping around the house with exposed cleats on my hardwood floor.Installation is fairly easy. I had to relax the tension on one pedal but if you get the forward section well seated you should be able to clip the rear in with just hand strength. Getting them out requires a bit more strength. You can either relax the tension even further or use a big screwdriver to lever them out. Hand strength alone didn't do it for me.Once installed they are too small. I'm not going to whine about that because they're exactly as big as the advertising copy states. They just don't have the width to support my 10.5 USA feet. In addition, the upper surface doesn't grip my shoes very well so they were constantly slipping. If I had known how small they would feel, I would not have bought them. I guess I'll just root around in the bike shed and swap the spd pedals for flat pedals.

Decent for riding with someone who doesn't clip in
Overall I am happy with them. They were a bit still first time insertion but subsequent are ok. They feel sturdy but are a bit narrow for my shoe. They grip well to tennis shoes but have doubts about winter boots. Wish they were a bit wider but then you might have to worry about the pedal being offset.

Works as advertised...clips right in!
These will help me re-enter cycling after foot & ankle surgery. Not quite ready to "clip in" myself, but these will help me gain strength & "pedal on, regardless!"
