This is an excellent two-person kayak. It’s very stable and tracks really well. It has a replaceable skid plate on the back to make it easier for one person to launch and retrieve it. This is really useful when you are kayaking with a young kid. As other reviewers have noted, the boat arrived without any plastic or packaging to protect it. Yes, there were a few scratches but nothing material. It’s going to quickly get similar scratches from actual use, so I had no issue with this. RXO did a great job with the delivery.

There is a huge deep gouge (ill have to fix it, it doesn't look like it will leak but ill bring duct tape just in case) and the rear foot rest track has been busted in half. The hull looks very used.

This is our second Perception kayak. (Our first was a two/ three person 17 ft touring model.)Build quality of our new Cove Tandem is excellent with plenty of options built in the kayak for upgrades. Seats are comfortable and adjustable as are the foot rest. At 14.5 ft loading and maneuvering are the biggest challenge. I’ll update the rating after a few outings on the water.Delivery was by Amazon and both delivery guys were outstanding in there service and handling of the kayak. It does have a slight nick in the leg rest pad and appears to have been there prior to packing.
