Calico Critters School Bus

Purchased as a Valentine’s Day gift for my 3.5 and almost 2 year old daughters. They absolutely love Calico Critters and this was a wonderful addition! Before this our only critter vehicle was the blue 7 seater family car. On that note the bus only seats 7 as well. The bus came with 6 seats to snap in(the drivers seat comes secured). The wheels turn easily and the doors up front pop open easily with the flip of the switch next to the drivers seat(back door emergency exit is sealed shut so hopefully your critters have no accidents on their school travels). While this particular play set doesn’t come with any small parts it has several decals that need to be applied. I was a little nervous for this bus at first as my toddlers were a bit rough while opening/ closing its doors, pulling on the stop sign that comes out and fighting over who got to play with this toy in general. It’s held up like a champ thus far. I purchased this off Amazon warehouse for about $25 and it came in like new condition. I have two happy girls that certainly recommend this for critter lovers!

We don't actually have any Calico Critters, but my two-year-old is obsessed with school buses right now and this was perfect. We had a die cast one that he loved, but the doors were too small for him to open and close easily. And we have the giant Little People one, which has been excellent, but we really wanted one that was smaller, that did not have any lights/sounds so that he could have it in his crib.This bus fits the bill for us. He loves that the lever actually opens and shuts the doors. It's the perfect size--not too big or small, and so far it's very sturdy. The seats don't really click into place, but as has been said before, they're meant to be removable, and they don't fall out inadvertently either. As I said, we don't have any Calico Critters, but the bus has been populated with Duplo people, LEGO people, BRIO people, and Fisher Price Little People, who all fit in the seats. Excellent product.

I bought this Calico Critters Schoolhouse for my 8-1/2 year old great-grand daughter this year for Christmas(2023) We plan to build a "Calico Town Village" that includes her 3 small dollhouses I bought her when she was younger, the Gabby's Dollhouse and a12-room Fire Station/Police Station (and we use the second floor locket room as a hospital because it has bunk beds.) It took me 8 hours to put the fire house together before Christmas about 3 years ago. By the way, the Fire Station has 12 furnished rooms.Calico Critters can be expensive, so I put stuff on my "Wish List" for me to buy later. It's like an "Old Fashion Lay-Away Plan". Plus, a wish list gives you a wonderful estimate on how much you are likely to spend for a special occasions, like weddings and birthdays, etc.,FYI: For all you guys (and gals) who love to build things, a member of my family (who doesn't know it yet), will be assembling the platform for the village made with plywood and a sturdy base--course' I'm too dang old to play on the floor like I did when my young kids were little :) The design of the village is in my head--and includes a miniature old fashion train station with a train smoke coming out of the chimney as well as a working whistle. Hopefully, I'll find one by Christmas that is just the right size.As I tell all my friends---"If you can't find it on Amazon Prime, then it doesn't exist---and that's the truth!!P.S. I just want to shout out to the Amazon Customer Service Department that includes the packers and delivery drivers:Thank you all for your dedicated service by patiently addressing my concerns in a kind, respectful. courteous and professional manner. In all the years I've been shopping on Amazon Prime.com---I have never-ever had a bad experience! Oh, "buy" the way----I am KNOT a Robot because a Robot would know how to spell "Spot". Just sayin'.... :)

My kid loves to play school with her calico critters and once I saw this school house, I knew she would love it! As always, great quality and construction. Wish they gave a few more books and not paper cut out books. But my kid loves it.

I’m not trying to put down this cute school bus. But despite its cuteness and high quality, it comes with removable seats. Seats that never stay in for very long. I don’t know what benefit you get from reconfiguring seats, but I don’t think it outweighs the annoyance of collecting 7 seats off the floor all the time.Otherwise, this is a great little vehicle for my kids’ (and also my) Li’l Woodzeez figures. I’m not a Calico Critters fan, but the Woodzeez line lacks vehicles. The yellow of the bus generally fits in with the brighter Woodzeez color scheme, so I bought it. I left off a lot of the stickers because I thought the colors and designs were too busy. I like the door opening and stop sign mechanism. Overall, a wonderful toy that my kids (older, younger, boy and girls) all enjoy…and also fight over.

No issues with the product whatsoever, everything was there and was exactly what I was expecting.What I wasn't expecting however was the way it was shipped! I'm used to my produects coming in another nondescript box thats slightly larger, with some sort of packing material not.... shipped just as is.Yep. This shipped out to me in the less sturdy display box only, with no additonal tape or seals along the edges than the store default. Shipping label slapped directly over the front product image. It would be like if you just plucked this off the shelf at the store and decided to ship that way.Luckily, this was only for me; and additonally my local delivery person directly handed the box to me instead of leaving it out by my buildings postal box.With the product box out for all to see, anyone and everyone knew exactly what I ordered, and if it was worth taking or not.Hopefully this is not the standard, but it was something worth noting as abnormal.
