A W Tozer has always written very precious books of real deep blessings. God given words of great need in the church and as individuals. Often takes me months to read, sometimes one line or a paragraph is a revelation and needs to be digested slowly. God is glorified.

Relative to the word, recognises the social and spiritual development relative to the word.An interesting and inspiring read.Recommended

If ever there was a book that will shake the church into seeking first the Kingdom of God again realising what we have lost in personal fellowship with God this is it. A W Tozer in this book will bring you again the challenge to drink deep at the Divine well and be the Christian God desires you to be.

very good book but difficult to understand in places, will be glad when i finished it

Passion for God above all else drives this writing. 'There is more', than we currently have and in this book Tozer strips away the pretence, pulling back the layers of correct doctrine amidst a mediocre desire for God, so with Paul we press on to greater intimacy with God. So yes highly recommended, not for the faint hearted.

Not always easy reading, but worth 5 stars for the last chapter alone. Every Christian should read that chapter! This message is just as true today as it was when Tozer wrote it. So many are content with doctrinal accuracy, but have little experience of God himself. This book points us in the right direction, to move beyond superficial Christianity to hungering for a deeper reality.

This book oozes of encouragement. It draws you to the warmth and life of God and away from the drearyness and deadness of the world.

Reveals the true greatness of God that we need in this day and age. Really calls for intimacy and true knowing of God.

AW Tozer has an amazing way of looking at humanity in relation to our Creator. Deep and reflective. Must read!

Immersing myself in this spiritual treasure by A.W. Tozer has been a profound journey. The author's deep insights into delighting in God resonate deeply with Christian truths. The prose is a sacred melody, stirring the soul to a closer communion with the divine. A great book!

A.W Tozer adress the souls that desire more of God, that want to grow and give themselves completely over to the Lord.He is stirring up his reader to not merely be satisfied in what he calls the comforted Christian life but to desire nothing but God himself even if it comes with discomfort and unconveniences. Very encouraging to me.

This isn't for the lukewarm. Or maybe it is, because read with an open heart, it will surely ignite a fire in any sincere Christian who genuinely wants more of God in their lives. If you want an easy, comforting read that will stroke whatever need you have, this isn't the book for you. It surely contains wisdom that can turn out to be the balm to wounded souls, but this book is more of a challenge than anything else. It is one that yanks you out of your comfort zone and into the borderlands -- one that does not excuse sin or compromise and confronts you with a God so majestic, so tremendous, so mysterious, it will lead you to your knees. If you let it. Tozer's Pursuit of God changed my life when I first read it. I tremble even as I draw near to God asking Him to teach me how and give me grace to live the truths in this book out. Highly recommended!!

This is extremely challenging teaching. It will either pull you towards more of God or rebuff you.Written in the early 20th century it is actually pertinent for today's believers.
