This is the BEST supplement I have found for my 12 1/2 year old German Sheperd. I have tried several. The combination of ingredients is key. This one makes a huge difference in his mobility. His overall well-being is much better because he feels so much better when taking these. He loves the taste.

A while ago, I wrote a review about Glyco-Flex III and what a great product it has been for my lab who was born with severe genetic arthritis from birth and before the age of 2, had TPLO surgery in both back legs.I adopted my lab at 4yrs old in 2012, it is now 2020. He he has been on Glyco-Flex for over 8 yrs. and is still doing AMAZING on it! When he originally was placed on Glyco-Flex, we followed directions for dosing up to 4 chews a day, then through to maintenance at 2 chews a day. When he turned 10 yrs old, we noticed he was struggling get up and down and doing stairs, so we placed him on the max dose of 4 chews a day (with vet approval) and that brought him back to his normal mobile self.He is now 12 yrs old, and as his arthritis progresses, we noticed he struggles more and more getting up and down on non-carpeted floors, doing stairs (or any at all), and doesn't want to run or jog like he used to. We called our vet and asked for solutions and they indicated that if we don't want to do prescription pain meds, it would be ok to increase to 5 chews a day, just watch his bowel movements and stomach. If he does ok, it's safe to keep him on 5 a day so we tried it. He has now been on 5 chews a day for over 6 months, hasn't had any negative issues and is actually running, jogging, playing, and doing stairs! He acts very happy, is playful, and doesn't show signs of pain. He's more playful now than ever and always has a smile on his face.I simply can't say enough good things about how Glyco-Flex III has saved our lab and gave him his mobility and life back. For a dog who was born with severe genetic arthritis and vets recommended he be euthanized, has proven them all wrong. Having TPLO surgery early in his life clearly was the right choice his former owners made. 2 weeks, 2 Short weeks - and my dog is feeling like a new dog!! I have an old (8yo) English Bulldog who was already getting stiff. Then he survived a heat stroke but has some ugly after effects showing up. He could barely walk and was clearly in a lot of pain and I was teetering on the unthinkable because I don’t want to watch him suffer. But I happened upon this product, and although not my normal price range, I decided to give it a try. It’s been 2 weeks of 4 tabs a day (oh, and he actually eats them without having to be tricked with some other food around it!) He is now back to just a little stiff, but walking across the yard again for all of his “smells”, hopping back up on the couch (he couldn’t for a while) and today he even had a couple little bouts of a “trot” when he could barely walk himself outside to go to the bathroom just 2 short weeks ago.So if your dog has a joint problem, from age or type of dog he is, or even an injury - grab you a bag and maybe see the same unbelievable results I have. We have tried so many “chews” over his lifetime - most of which he refuses to eat - and had little to no results until NOW

UPDATE:My dog still hates the taste and refuses these chews unless I blend them with chicken. With that said, she has shown great improvement and has climbed stairs and jumped on our couch on her own. Huge gains in a short amount of time. I wish she would just take them as is, but they do work for mobility.I had high hopes based on reviews that my dog would warm up to these. She doesn't like the chews from the vet and I was out $75 from that test. My hound refuses to eat these chews as well. I'm now having to blend it in with her meals. She also hesitates to eat her food when the chews are dusted on top.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This was mentioned to me by my veterinarian, so I ordered it to see if it would help my dog, who had begun to limp on his front paws in the morning.These chews made a noticeable difference in my senior dog’s movement. We did a full dose for about a month before tapering down and his front leg limping improved a lot! I put this on auto delivery now because it works so well.

My 11 year old mixed 45lb dog has taken 1 a day for the past 2 years and it has helped improve his mobility. He takes the supplement like a treat which is an added bonus!He had to rehab both his back legs two years ago and the vet mentioned giving him glucosamine. My friend is a vet tech and I asked her what brand she would give her dog and Vetra Sciences what she recommended. I wish I would have started him on it earlier in life.He walks 2-4 miles a day and the supplement has been a big help in keeping up with that pace.

These are worth the little bit of extra money over another lol known brand. My German shepherd fur baby lives the peanut butter ones .

I've been using this product on all the dogs that I've had over the years and it's been a blessing! Unfortunately, I'm going to have to find something else to give my 15 year old dog now because Amazon has raised the price by $10 in the last 6 months.
