Alis Rowe is amazing and so inspiring she writes with such truth! All Alis books help me to understand my condition and how to cope, without Alis books I would feel less alone.Alis books are easy to understand as they have big writing and lots of visuals I'm an aspie myself so this is an amazing find.Alis information comes from a real place as Alis has Aspergers.in This book Alis gives ideas and advice on how Aspergers affects teenagers going through puberty once diganoised and the problems this age group have at this time. there are some great diagrams in the book on how parents and the child themselves can help understand themselves better.I bought this book to help me understand myself better at this time I felt this was the toughest part of my life so far and was such a confusing horrible time of emotions thoughts and feelings and it all makes sense and now i understand why I was struggling so much at that time,Another great book AlisThank you againKatie xx

Clear concise and very easy to read
I found this book to provide sensitive information which answers many questions that a confused parent or teen may have.Stressing the normality of being on the AS spectrum is also vital. In some cultural contexts being slow to develop sexually is very normal and desirable.Precocious sexual development is more an anomaly than the opposite.

Great starting point
9 year old daughter has hit full blown puberty, great for talking though with your child

Much needed resource, could save so much heart ache for those on the spectrum and their carers.
Really important for the parent or carer of any young woman on the autism spectrum who is coming up to puberty. Also very useful for those who care for or are on the autism spectrum who are teens or older. Fantastic resource, should be in every school library. I have bought a copy for my local school for those with complex needs including autism.

Look what's arrived!! The long awaited book on puberty. What do I love about it? It's insightful, simple and clear. It makes you think about things you wouldn't have thought of, for example sections on sexuality, feelings, peer pressure, and going out safely, as well as the expected sections on puberty, periods, and hygiene.Alis Rowe's books are always insightful and never disappoint me.
