UPDATE: Seeds sprouted đ±
Update: all the seeds have sprouted some have leaves!!! Very excited đ wish me luck with transplanting them.Original post: I received my Pride of Barbados seeds in a plain envelope without instructions. I contacted them immediately and they responded right away with the following messageâDear Shirley,Thank you for contacting us. Very easy to grow.To grow, you must chip/nick/sand through the outer surface of the seed in one spot. Then soak the seeds overnight and plant about 1/4â deep and water every day in part sun till they pop up in 7-10 days. They become seedlings at least a few inches tall. Allow to dry out between waterings. As grown plants, they seldom need watering.Have a wonderful day.Kind regards,SmartUnitâââI will update progress in the coming weeks/months. My understanding from what I have read is that these take a year or two before blooming and take off. It is better to plant in southern exposure but will do just fine in northern exposure. Northern exposure will just delay post-frost growth.

These are NOT Birds of paradise seeds
I finally got around to planting these in my Aerogarden to get them started before replanting them in my garden. All the seeds sprouted fine but after replanting them to pots, turns out the ordinary morning glories. Rip off. I should have read the reviews. My bad.

Very fertile seeds that germinated quickly!
These will grow to beautiful full-grown Bird of Paradise plants in no time. Great value.

Planting instructions would be nice...
Seeds arrived in a very small package with no instructions. Lots of people will not know what to do to ensure germination/growth. Jury's out on germination since I just received them. Will edit my review as needed.

Dissatisfied
Received seeds as advertised but only 2 germinated. I start all my plants from seed if available.

I Should Have Just Eaten The Seeds
I gave this product a star for every seed that actually germinated.......1 Unfortunately it wasnât just one seed from this order. Oh no, it was one seed from ALL my orders. That would be a grand total of 55 seeds! Iâm giving this seller credit for the one success but it could have been another order I placed. With this âsuccessâ rate does it really matter either way? So for those scoring at home that would be one seed out of the 55 I ordered from Amazon! Thatâs a mind numbingly bad total of 1.82% of all the seeds I purchased. This one little sprout needs to become one bad ass tree when it grows up! If not I should have just eaten the seeds. It would have been smarter than actually trying to plant them.
