Tvilum, Oak Structure Walden Desk with 5 Drawers

This is a nice table but it’s just a lot of hassle to put together

this is a nice desk, exactly what i was looking for, i had a big one that was just taking up way to much room this one fits and is smaller and i love the wood color. The drawers are not very sturdy and im limited to what i can put into my drawer with the lock, it keeps coming out of the inside slit causing the bottom of the drawer to droop., other then that it is still a nice item to have if you looking to make room, plus it has a row of side drawers that makes it all the more nicer giving you more room to store desk items, that normally crowd your desk, I love it thank you

If you’ve put together coffee tables, end tables, dining tables, ect. this won’t be too bad. Right out of the box there were 2 pieces that were damaged, one of them I’m not worried about (it’s the inside of one of the drawers) but the other one is the piece that goes right above the 4 drawers so it’s visible. The directions could be a bit better but it was pretty simple to put together using common sense, there was the last step that I didn’t do at all cause it didn’t make sense but everything works as should. It calls for multiple tools to put pieces in place, I used only a screwdriver and my strength. When putting the drawers together make sure you have all the little slots the same way so the bottom of the drawer can go in, that’s where I messed up and it took me about 30 min to fix. Altogether this took me 2 days to build while stopping things to go to work, about 3 1/2-4 hours if I would have built it all at once.

Instructions to build the table are horrible, but the worst part is that some of the structural screws don’t work at all. I had to order separate screws to finish building this table. Would NOT recommend this product. Poor quality, poor building instructions.

Instructions are horrible, they are not really in any kind of order. If you have built anything like this before, do them as you did in the past. You’ll never know if you are missing any small pieces until near the end. Mine was short 2 round inserts needed for the draws. Not easy finding help but I did and they were quick to ship me the 2 missing parts. It’s not a bad desk just not for serious work, more a nice to look at and keep stuff in the draws and on the top. As for the box being delivered, mine was in good shape there, no complaints.

Overall this desk does exactly what I needed to, holds a good amount of stuff, and the lock is a plus. However even though it came quickly, when delivered it was poorly packed, so the Styrofoam was completely destroyed, and went everywhere. Since the styrofoam was destroyed there were certain areas of the desk that were hit and damaged before even putting together. Thank g-d I had my dad help me put this together, but even the handyman he is, this took forever due to the directions being extremely unclear.

This desk was a nice addition to our daughter's room, it's durable, nice quality wood. About the only complaint we have about this desk are the instructions that came with it, they are not very descriptive. Lots of pictures to show what you are supposed to do, but not many words. The packet that contains all of the hardware is not labeled either, could definitely use better description for those too.

It’s great. The assembly instructions can be written better.
