I find this is best for a bench seat, as you don't want your dog to end up hanging off the side of a bucket seat. I like that it is SHORT, so my dog can lay or sit on short in-town drives, and will keep him from hitting the inside of the car if we have an accident.I do use a large soft-sided carrier for my dog for longer drives or road trips, but am really happy with this buckle.

So, I was very happy with the quality of this product. The material seemed very durable. Unfortunately, it was a little too short for my needs. I wanted an option with a little bit more slack so my tiny dog could at least reach up to see out the window. I ended up having to go with another, slightly longer brand. However, the brand I went with, while fine length wise, was definitely not the same quality when it came to material. This product definitely is made with better quality material.

I have two, one for each vehicle. They work well keeping my dog in his seat. If you have a very large dog you will need a long seat belt.

This keeps my Shichon safe when unable to use a carrier. This is a size M and is perfect for her size. She’s wearing it on the shortest measurement

The tether clipped perfectly into the seatbelt socket, and provided a SAFE and COMFORTABLE trip. We travelled for 7 hours and our pup was able to stand up and move from side to side and re-position himself safely. We bought the size medium 12-15 inch length for the size dog shown in the picture…..size up for larger breeds. The product is well-made with a swivel clasp that allows the dog to turn around easily without getting twisted-up. I would buy this product again in a heartbeat!

My puppy was still able to twist around and get himself stuck facing the wrong way, no matter how I adjusted. But obviously strong, and would work for the right dog
