Greater Goods Wireless Digital Food Thermometer Perfect for Meat, Fish, and Bread, Providing Accurate Readings, Designed in St. Louis

Update: So my item was indeed malfunctioning but I contacted Greater Goods directly and they are fixing it straight away! I have always liked their products and my experience with their customer service will definitely have me coming back to do business with them again! Still recommend for the great company! It seems like the display is malfunctioning. I can’t seem to get it to read the temperature of anything in a timely manner. The entire display just blinks and makes a faint clicking sound. I can usually eventually get it to work and read the temperature of something but only after trying repeatedly, which makes it useless when I am trying to get a timely temperature reading on something before it cools too much. I tried to reach out to Greater Goods on their website to see if it is just operator error or needs calibration or something but haven’t heard back yet (it’s been a few days).

I bought this as an add on with a coffee scale from the same company mostly because the price was good. I already had a similar thermometer from another company. I found that this one is faster and grabs a temp more consistently. The magnets are nice, well, magnet. I keep this on my range hood and one side will slide and droop a little because there isn't a magnet on that side. Still, this is the one I use daily now. I like it.

This digital food thermometer has a really nice, easy to use design.It's a perfect size and shape, so it's easy to handle. It's very easy to reliably to turn off and on. All it requires is to pull the sensor away from the thermometer body. (It's a hinge-type design - super easy to use!) The sensor stores in a small recess in the side of the thermometer, so it's easily accessible, but also tucks away enough that it doesn't catch on anything when it's stored.The sensor is a great length, allowing you to check food temperature accurately when something is in the oven without getting burnt.The display is in a great location and is large and easy to read. While the display is not backlit, it's still clear enough to read later in the day (twilight) before you absolutely need to turn lights on. Even better: there's a hold button that's also very conveniently located near the display. This allows you to check food temperature for something that's in the oven without having to keep the thermometer in the food / oven door open to take the reading. So nice and so easy!The body of the thermometer is matte black, which is also very nice. Because it's a matte color, it doesn't / won't show scratches easily. It's smooth enough and doesn't have any real nooks or crannies, making it very easy to clean.I haven't had to change the battery, yet, but it's very easy to access, if needed. While it's flat, thin, and low-profile to keep the thermometer size convenient, it's also a pretty common battery size that you can buy just about anywhere, which is also very nice.All in all, a very nice food thermometer at a great price. Highly recommend!

I have a few meat thermometers. Keep them in a drawer toocomplicated to use. This one is perfect. It large and sturdy.

I bought this as a gift for my Son. He likes to create different types of food for when he has the Guys over to watch the Buffalo Bills win their football games. At times he guesses when a dish is fully cooked and it’s either under or over cooked.This product has proved very helpful to my “Chef” Son!

I bought it before I needed it, so I didn’t use it for a while. When I finally used it, it didn’t work! I was so mad, but it was too late to return it. Just a waste of money. 😡UPDATE: The seller contacted me to provide a refund/replacement of the thermometer. I am extremely satisfied with their customer service and I would definitely buy from them again!

I primarily use this for making green tea, which should not be made with boiling water. Any temp around 165 F is fine. This thermometer makes it easy for me to brew my tea with confidence. I used to guess at the temp, allowing a few minutes after boiling. Now, this the precision of this tool, my green teas are better.It is quick to register the temp and made solidly.
