Best Digivolving Figure I've Had
I collected these suckers as a kid way back. Of course, the toy line back then was significantly cheaper, and the figures showed it. I had been waiting for a while to purchase some of the Digivolving Spirits line, and I just couldn't help but look at the MegaKabuterimon to Tentomon one and think it looked so good... so I finally went ahead and bought it. Suffice to say, I went and bought two other figures right after!I can't stress enough how great this is. While the transformation may seem a bit daunting at first, after doing it a few times you'll really get the hang of it. The figure - in both forms - can stand pretty well even without the stand, although Tentomon has to have his legs bent a lot more to counteract the weight on his back. I also absolutely LOVE that Tentomon's wings open up. It doesn't work for MegaKabuterimon, unfortunatley, but if I had to choose between them I would have wanted it for Tentomon more anyway. It really is a great thing, and my 3-year old - who is only just now getting into Digimon with the first series - loves this figure a ton. He loves making Tentomon fly!This is probably the most sturdy figure too. Not nearly as many loose pieces to break or fall off. The kibble - or "leftover transforming bits" - is pretty minor, and blends well into either form because of the color scheme. I love how the spots on the back flip between red and the little black spikes for Tentomon. Probably my only gripe is that they could have MAYBE done a better job representing Tentomon's second set of arms, but I think it's relatively OK how they did it.Overall, amazing figure. Super glad I purchased it. I have lots of fun transforming it back and forth, my kid loves it, and I really do think it is worth the $60 or so. I also need to mention the sculpting is great in both forms!I REALLY hope they finish the rest of the Adventure 01 cast of digimon for this line. I've been dying for a Zudomon and Lillymon figure since I was a kid, and this line has given me hope for it! If you are thinking about Digivolving Spirits at all, this is the best place to start!
