Nice radio!
I upgraded from a previous pioneer deck that did not have the wireless Apple CarPlay. This unit fits that need and works great for me.It did take about a week for the unit to ship, but it arrived in perfect shape with everything needed to install

Fit my needs. I'm happy except for one thing.
It takes me a while to buy any electronics item because there are just so many choices. Every time I settle on something I'll typically back out after reading reviews and the negative experiences some people share. This Pioneer was no different but it ended up being the best choice for me so I made the purchase. I'm glad I did because it ended up being wonderful for me. Android Auto functions perfectly with my phone, no hiccups whatsoever. My music on a thumb drive sounds amazing but keep in mind I'm using an external amplifier. Installation was simple and I'll never use all the features this deck provides. I really do like it.There is one thing I'm not happy about however. Every single time I start my car I have to accept a safety warning from Pioneer before I can begin to use the system. That's simply overkill and irritating. Just put a "Don't show this again." box to check. Why endlessly pester your paying customers, Pioneer? This was a refurb and, other than no original Pioneer packaging, the unit looked completely new to me. It had all the cables and parts needed to install and use. I'm very glad I chose this Pioneer.

Love this head unit.
It's a shallow double din. Loads of features. Wireless android auto/car play. IMO you can't go wrong with Pioneer.

Has a fatal software bug that will brick it
This is my second one of this unit. I bought the first one 3 years ago and it was fine for a while but eventually the Bluetooth antenna stopped working which meant the wireless Android Auto stopped working. While attempting to troubleshoot using the manufacturers instructions, I did a factory reset. The latest firmware has a fault in it that causes this to brick the unit by putting it into an infinite restart loop. Pioneer said it wasn't their problem because my unit was out of warranty.I bought this one from Amazon because I did not want to have to completely rewrire my car for a new head unit. It's fine for now. But don't buy it.

Half depth model is required for 2007-2014 Tahoe
This is a great head unit and very easy to navigate. Sound quality is great and integration with third party products like Maestro is built in. The half depth size is exactly what I needed as the full depth double DIN model would not fit in my 2011 Tahoe.

It’s Okay. Pretty disappointed especially for the price.
As far as the sound quality, I would give it a 4 out of 5. Nothing bad nothing phenomenal, it also has all the preamp outputs that I need. Can’t say for the sound quality of the built-in internal amp because I have never used it. Now where the product started to go downhill. Wireless connectivity and interface interaction. I give this part about 1 out of 5. The entire reason I bought this device in the first place was for the wireless CarPlay and wireless android auto. Android auto fares a bit better. The input lag from the device is noticeable, but not terrible. Now for CarPlay. The input lag is substantial when you hit any kind of input on the head unit or on the phone, it takes one to two seconds for anything to happen. And if you opt to not use the Wi-Fi connection (needed for android auto or CarPlay) and just Bluetooth the input lag is even longer 2 to 3 seconds before any kind of response from the head unit. Now using android auto & CarPlay over a wired connection the lag issues are gone, but that defeats the entire point of this head unit and you might as well buy a unit about half the price. now we’re it gets really bad. The devices UI is terrible and input lag, it is even worse. Imagine using an off brand smart phone made in 2008 that comes free with your budget plan and you’re trying to use it after its has sat in 120° car in the sun and it is about to shut off dude overheating, using the UI elements and swiping to other screens is as buttery smooth is gravel. I knew I wasn’t going to be a big fan of no volume knob, but changing the volume is a task making the touch screen volume controls impossible to use in a timely manner. All in all I would not recommend.

Works awesome
Received this item in a nice Pioneer brown box. Item was well packaged and it looks like all the cables were brand new. No problems with the unit and love the wireless Android Auto.

Duradero pero lento y con interfaz confusa
Para ser Pioneer le falta aún mucho para lograr la perfección, soy generación X y me siento baby boomer al moverle a la interfaz
