Bellemain Funnel (4" Mason jar Funnel)

I was surprised & very glad to see just how sturdy this small funnel set actually was! I also like the clip that they come on for keeping them together, and not misplacing them in the back of a drawer, cupboard, or possibly in the bottom of the dishwasher. Equally so, I was very happy to see how easy it was to take them off & put them back on the ring, as well. Especially since you get some rings that are like key rings, and you either have to leave things on the ring forever, or take them off forever, because the rings are just too hard to open & close. Well, not this one! It was extremely easy to open & close as many times as you would like to! I have also found all 3 of the different sizes to be very useful for working with my essential oils, in making various items. Bottom line, I am very happy with this nice set, at a fair price, and I would definitely recommend it to others!

I finally got tired of making a mess whenever I needed to transfer my olive oil from my 10-gallon drum to something more usable for daily use. However, juggling all of this was a chore without the use of a funnel. And my plastic funnels tended to wobble and was hard to clean. In desperation, I found this funnel in the mix of thousands promising to do the job, and with one look I knew this one was ready to be delivered to my home and help solve my problem.The strainer works well, but for what I need I have placed it in the kitchen drawer where I pray I can find it again later (yeah, don't try to hide it, you know you have a drawer like that, complete with a matchbook from the 1980s that may not strike but you can't toss!).The weight of the stainless steel is perfect and it won't wobble or fall over on its own. The funnel's neck allows it to empty quickly and without a mess.The best part is that it cleans up very easily. Much better than the plastic types that tend to want to hold onto a few tablespoons of my oil no matter what.This is a solid solution and one that you will be happy with.

I was looking for funnels to use with essential oil items and small kitchen products. I like that these funnels have long necks so they will stay in the jars without having to hold them there. The top ends are wide enough to be an easy target for pouring. They store well because the necks of the smaller ones fit into to next bigger size. Each funnel also has a small ring/handle so the set can be held together by the easy-to-open ring that came with them. The smallest neck will easily fit my smallest E.E. bottles, but it's still big enough to allow product to flow easily. The largest will work well for putting bulk spices into jars in the kitchen. I have small brushes to use for cleaning the larger 2 funnels; the smallest one may need a cloth on a wire or q-tip without cotton end as I would expect with something as small as I need. The metal is strong and well-made as well as shiny and slippery...good for easy cleaning. I looked at a lot of funnel sets. I think this will be a good choice. Don't know about durability yet...I will update IF that becomes a problem.

I was excited for this funnel set to come. I had some of the mini plastic ones before, but I gave one away and the other died in an accidental dunk in the garbage disposal. I like the look of the metal better, I like the weight of them, substantial but not heavy. The sturdy but not bulky ring holds them together well and opens so I can separate them without effort, keeping them together so I wont lose them in my "things" drawer. The base of the funnel flattens as it comes in to the spout at the bottom, helping them balance on the top of small jars--a nice little aid to keep things from spilling. I still need to hold it as I pour into them, but it's much easier than with my other mini funnels. They are a great help in pouring small recipes for such things as essential oil mixes, tinctures, lotions and such without spilling.

It should be noted that I was motivated to post a review of this product because of the offer to receive a free pair of Bellemain kitchen shears if I submitted a review on Amazon. However, I stand by my review as an authentic reflection of my assessment of the product.I would rate this product 4.5 stars if the Amazon rating system allowed for this; I like this product very much but cannot say that I love it. However it is a quality product that should last a very long time under normal use (perhaps your next generation will be able to use this funnel). The finish is very good, but not excellent - I do prefer this brushed stainless look instead of the mirror polished approach employed by others. The material quality seems very good; there is no sign of surface rust/stains that appears on some "stainless steel" products that use steel of dubious quality (aka low nickel / chrome content). The spot welds on the handle will never separate from the body; the construction is very robust (not flimsy). There are multiple quality ergonomic touches that set this product apart; their is a separate handle (that is actually big enough for my large fingers/hand) that doubles as a hanging hook; there is a removable strainer; there is a trickle groove to allow an air bypass path to speed up liquid transfer. Also, the quality, functionality are a bit better than I anticipated at this price point. This is product is definitely recommended.

This funnel functioned well in getting my concocted beverage from the mixing bowl into a half gallon milk bottle for storage in the refrigerator. I did not encounter any runs, drips, overflows or air backups in pouring this beverage from the mixing bowl into the funnel. I was able to quickly transfer the half gallon volume of liquid from the mixing bowl into the the milk bottle. The funnel stayed put in the neck of the milk bottle without any additional hands needed to hold the funnel steady. Escaping air from the filling milk bottle was released from under the funnel so the transfer process did not have to be slowed. It was a very quick clean transfer. Clean-up was a snap. The funnel comes with a coarse strainer that slips securely into place should the need arise.

The add says " (4" mason jar funnel) Leading us to believe that it will work to load jars for fermenting food.The stem is only 2" which is at best unpractical to load jars with solid food.It should have posted the dimension of the stem at 2"
