Expanding A Story Positively
Joshua Williams run on the Flash is up there with Mark Waid's and Geoff Johns. He has introduced new villains, made interesting choices with past Flash foes and generally has had a very interesting and enjoyable run.His artistic partners have been apt and have delivered strong visuals to go along with the writing/plots for his run. This arc I found very entertaining. Geoff Johns "origin" being expanded upon with great additional nuances made for a very entertaining story even though I was very familiar with the basic premises.

Not worth keeping but a good one time read.
The art was just okay. The interaction between Iris and Barry was very nicely expanded upon and it was great to see. I could've done without Wallace, but it was good to see Wally. The turtle was different, but ultimately, I didn't care for him.

Breakneck Speed 4.5*
"The Flash: Year One" starts with a sonic boom and doesn’t lets up til the finish line. It doesn’t dive so deep as to alienate newer readers but goes deep enough to uncover significant connections to the Flash's world including the multiverse, creation of the speed force as well as the existence of other Speedsters.I much preferred this Year One story to the recent Superman rendition. As would make sense to be the case with The Flash stories, the pacing is magnetic, the reinvention of the Golden Age rogue "Turtle" was the perfect motif for an introduction into the world of the Fastest Man Alive. The art is fantastic, Howard Porter seems to have mastered his modern comic book style. For me this is the definitive origin story of the Scarlet Speedster. I wasn't alive during DC's Silver Age, and unlike other higher tier heroes, the Flash has only recently (since Rebirth) been getting quality focus. These characters have existed for so long that these modernized retellings have really become essential to the future of DC fandom.

Nova e atual origem do Flash!

I LOVE Flash more than ever now
Fantastic. A new taken on to the origin story of flash. I just stepped in into DC comics and I didn't think my first pick could be that good. The art the story, this is another level. The packaging was great and I am feeling that I got the hardcover.
