ive bought other shredders direct from dahle, it is a great product and i'd give it five stars. this one, from amazon, came in different shipping packaging than I have received direct from dahle. it was completely unprotected, basically wrapped in a single sheet of cardboard covered with clear packing tape with no interior protection. on arrival, the door was broken off and the door sensor mechanism bent and damaged.I don't have the time to reship back and wait for it to return, this unit took over a month to arrive, so I just went to the hardware store and repaired it myself. but if you want a fully functioning product out of the box, i'd suggest ordering direct from dahle or a reputable reseller.

Excellent for destruction, but sometimes finnicky to accept sheets of paper. If you're looking for speed or ease of use this may not be your product, but it definitely does a good job.

1 Gallon of oil was not included.The unit was in used condition - shredded paper was in the unit when I received it.The shredder frequently jammed when shredding less than the advertised capacity.Overall, this was a frustrating experience. I returned the shredder for a full refund.
