I am very happy with this purchase! You need two people to bring it up the stairs as it is one heavy box. Once we opened it, all the parts were inside the headboard nicely boxed so it wouldn't rupture the back side of the head board. The instructions were simple enough but definitely need two people to hold on to the side bars as you assemble it. It took us less than 30 minutes (mind you, my friend and I are not the greatest at building things and perhaps needed to spend a few more years playing w/ Lego and their instructions). The look on it is great! I recently moved to a new apartment and my 14 y/o son helped me disassemble it (he though is a Lego expert so we had it all deconstructed in 20 minutes). Once we moved it not took us the same 20 minutes to put it back together. it has those IKEA like wood plates underneath for better support. You do not need a box spring on this one, otherwise you lose the headboard look (I have a Nectar mattress and works perfectly fine). The isn't much room to store anything underneath the bed (in case you were wondering). For the price, this is a must have!

When I read some of these reviews I was absolutely horrified. I even put off ordering this bed for months. I finally decided I was just gonna order the bed and check it on the porch before I brought it in. So that’s what I did. I checked this bed front and back, side to side, and inside out. I found absolutely no signs of bedbugs at all. I brought it in and set it up. It took about an hour to get it all the way done. I have to say; I really like this bed! It looks incredible, It’s extremely sturdy, and it couldn’t be any quieter. Also, I really appreciated the ratcheting Allen wrench that came includes in the package. It did strip out towards the end of the job but I was already done with it at that point. I can’t expect them to send me a quality tool with my $200 bed. LolI’m really glad I didn’t listen to these reviews. I honestly think these people already had bedbugs before the bed came and they happened to notice it afterwards. This bed came sealed up in a box. There is no way bedbugs would have gotten on it like that. ORDER THE BED! There is nothing wrong with it! I’m really glad I did, and you will be too!

The quality of the bed is great for the price. Pretty simple and quick to assemble. Instructions are simple and there aren’t too many parts to deal with which made it easy. If you have any experience building furniture, this is really easy. One of the brackets was bent on one of the side pieces, so I had to hammer it straight. Some of the bolts were too tight that you had to loosen to attach different parts but were not stripped. The included ratchet made it so much easier than using the hex key, which is a nice touch. The screws were in a package instead of a bad and included spares which is a nice touch. The fabric on the headboard is a nice quality and I don’t notice any stitching issues on my unit. The slats were a little tricky to align correctly and they took a bit of finagling to get right with the velcro. Overall, it’s a great value and it’s hard to find beds with headboards at this price point.

Sadly, we had to move my Mom into Memory Care. We needed a bed with a headboard and not too high. Because you don’t need a box spring this bed for the bill. We had it delivered right to her Studio and my husband had it together in no time at all. It seems very sturdy and safe except for one issue however. The slats the mattress sits on are very slick. If you are very rambunctious I could see the mattress sliding partially off. It’s possible to push the mattress off easily as well. I could see my mom maybe moving it while pushing herself up to get out of bed. If so, we plan to buy that rubberized waffle mat stuff that people use in cupboards on RV’s and Boats and put it on top of the slats

Product had a large package (it’s the headboard with all the other parts inside zipped inside of it “smart packaging”), but wow the assembly was so easy and straight forward. So far (3 days since assembly) everything looks good and sturdy. I would’ve liked a higher headboard, though it’s not too low. My when I sit with my back to the headboard, my head is above the headboard.Very good product for the price I’m paying!

Never would I have imagined I’d buy a bed frame off of amazon, but this is exactly what i needed. The build quality is great, and the packaging was really nice. Given that this is a platform bed and I don’t need a box spring, makes this $200 purchase that much better since I don't have to hear creaking every time I move around.

The bed arrived quickly and eas easy to unbox. My 11 child helped and we were able to understand the pictorial instructions easily. Two parts that weren’t immediately clear; removing the cap on the screws for the feet and "loosen the screws before assembly". I recommend looking for one of the quick YouTube tutorials if you need assistance.

After installing this bed frame, which was much easier than thought, I sleep so well on my zinus mattress. Never squeaks, is very sturdy, and joy to sleep on. I am enjoying my sleep even more than ever. I got it three days ago and My afternoon naps are now my favorite part of my day. I will update this review in a month to give a more long-term--ish update

I read every single review that I could for this frame. I measured like crazy thinking the headboard wouldn't be high enough. I also almost cancelled by order as I went back and read 1 star reviews and a lot of them mentioned bed bugs (all from the states) and when I went to cancel it was too late since it had been shipped. When I received it I inspected everything for bugs. I then left it in the garage for a couple of nights and inspected it every single day. Finally decided ok let's put it together. Assembly was so easy and took maybe half an hour between my partner and I (with a 3 year old and 9 month old "helping") everything lined up and looked great. We put our king size endy mattress on and it looked perfect. When I sat on the bed I heard a bit of squeaking and my partner said just wait a couple days and it will go away everything just needs to settle. He was right. 2 days later the squeaking was gone. This bed makes no noise at all. It has been about 3 weeks the bedframe is in our room and still no signs of bugs. Everything looks great and feels great. I feel like the frame is 5 stars but put 4 so I can give an update in a year. Fingers crossed it holds up well!

Seeing the highly rated reviews for this bed, I decided to go for it as it was well-priced too. I will try to make it simple with the pros and cons:Pros:1. Reasonable price - I bought it at 207+tax and if you look at wayfair.ca, the similar bed ( search for Colby) is $350 which has the exact design as this one. I believe they are made by same manufacturer but rebranded to sell at wayfair. Considering that, it is a great price.2. Sturdy - The bed doesn't squeak and is sturdy because of the metal frame (has some cons will mention later).3. Installation was easy, took me an hour.4. Slats attach to frame using the two sided "grabs". Don't know the exact name.Cons:1. Headboard is not that soft, it is soft enough so that it will not hurt if you hit your head against it.2. Frame - The metal frame has a leg in the middle, which makes the bed look cheap from the side. Also there is a possibility that anyone might bump into it.3. Bed is a little too high if you install a 12 inch box spring mattress. I suggest to go for an 8 inch one.4. The slats are not strong enough for an adult to step on. So if you take the mattress out, never step or sit on it.Overall it is a very good value and the price is great for a simple and functional bed.

Bed frame looks good and setup was easy, but the slats are too far apart to use it without a box spring. If slats are more than 2 inches apart, it voids your mattress warranty. Now I have to buy more slats, which is not only a hassle but an added cost, just to make sure I can use this frame.

read the reviews before purchasing and thought, wow 55+ people raving about this. Got to buy it.The pieces are all tucked neatly inside the headboard. It comes with all the tools you need to assemble. I wanted something I could do myself (I don’t ever build furniture) and it only took me 37 minutes from start to finish. The directions are very easy to understand the the hardware was very sturdy (ie no stripped screws). There is velcro that holds the slats in place.My mattress is a bit higher than I would have liked as it takes away from the headboard, but it looks so great. You could store your millions of dollars in the back of the zippered headboard, too. I will definitely be buying more Zinus products in the future. Excellent quality for a great price. I paid $246 for a king. Buy it now, if it’s available that is!UPDATE 29 SEPTEMBER 2018: This bed is amazing. I moved houses with it, all the pieces fit nicely in the headboard and it was easy to set up again. I have a cat, and she hasn't made any claw marks - good craftsmanship. 5 stars all around!!(Shipping, now this isn’t the manufacturers fault, but I ordered on Amazon Prime, Feb 13 and I was to received it Feb 19-21. I contacted them after the date and am told it’s sold out but I would get it as soon as it comes in. It was shipped overnight on March 1 and I received it March 2. Worth the wait!)
