Duralex Lys Plates with a Polishing Cloth

I love this product, its size and how it is a hybrid of a plate and bowl. It is great for salads or meals. I also like the fact that with clear glass, you cam absolutely tell when it is perfectly clean. Great product, size, quality and functionality. I only wish the raised Duralex name/trademark was on the outside/bottom instead of inside - a minor thing I notice when hand washing.

Appreciated that they were very well packed for shipment.I actually use one for about every meal! Soups reheat quicker and more evenly in them than in a deep bowl. I like them for main dish salads, like a chef's salad- makes it easy to make even, thin layers of ingredientsso that you get a little bit of everything in each bite. Same principal works for cereal with milk, a shallow layer of milk lets the cereal float in a nice even layer! Also makes a nice fruit "plate" that keeps your grapes & blueberries from rolling off the edge😉

In the modern age of almost everything goes into the microwave you can't beat Duralex... this stuff is insanely sturdy. It's not glass so much as a different version of pyrex, so even on the off chance it should break --- and NONE of mine have as yet, even though I'm not gentle with them -- they don't shatter so you won't end up with a zillion shards but rather nice big bits of glass that are easy to see and clean up. I not only use it in the micro, I also use it in the air fryer/toaster oven ... nothing has cracked yet

Perfectly thick and sturdy but still look light as a feather. You wouldn’t imagine they are so durable but we’ve had some of these from a different manufacturer for 20 years! So nice to see the design is still classic and in demand so you can always have backup!

I'd like them a little deeper, maybe a quarter of an inch or so. They still hold all my pasta. My larger complaint is that they engraved the stuff on the INSIDE of the bowl, so it makes an unpleasant scratching noise at times, especially when trying to mix stuff in it.

These Duralex Lys dessert plates are the perfect size for my pets. I use glass plates because I feed them raw food and I didn't like the institutional look of stainless steel plates. I'll admit that I like to use beautiful things for our pets, too. They were a bit expensive for me but over 6 months, I've ordered 3 times so I now have 18. I wish the Duralex name was embossed on the bottom of the plates but they come clean in the dishwasher. I love that Duralex products are still made in France and it's nice to support that.

The plates arrived packaged well but one plate in particular has a large defect in the center and several others have scratches/marks on the glass… appears these may have been “seconds” quality? Will likely return given the defects and price.

I bought these to compliment the 11" dinner plates I bought from the same company. These had swirl marks from manufacturing in the clear glass bottom of the plate. The real problem was the raised lettering on the eating side of the plate which made washing difficult (hand wash) if not washed immediately after eating. On the plus side these plates are heavy and would last a lifetime
