Product wires kept melting on plugs and smelling like burnt plastic and smoking

Plug does not stay connected firmly. Outside of that, it works well.

Took to fish camp in Canada. Small and light weight. Breaks down for easy cleaning. We fried 4 lbs of fish. Held temp well.

Easy to clean and works very goods, heats quickly.

I've only done a basket of fries in this fryer but overall, it worked great. Couple of things that irked me, first, that magnetic power cord is beyond useless. Why would anyone think that's a great idea? First slight movement, it unhooks. Salton, if you're reading this, get stronger magnets or use a normal connection, it's worked for decades. Second thing, when I went to shake the basket, grease came shooting back. If you do decide to give fries or whatever you're frying a shake to loosen things up, tilt the basket towards the front just enough not to spill the fries and give a little shake. I bought this since it seems easier to clean than my old fryer so the jury is still out but the design should allow for faster cleanups. Gave 4 stars mainly for that magnetic power cord, otherwise it's a pretty good fryer.

It actually feels and works very poorly, the magnet for the plug is extremely weak, it keeps calling off and the handle doesn't click in at all, it should be secure seeing how your dealing with hot oil. I guess you get what you pay for seeing how it wasn't to expensive but still its a battle to make food.

fonctionne très bien petite donc ne prend pas trop de place sur un comptoir ,par contre chaque fois que je m'en sers je me retrouve avec une flaque d'huile sur le comptoir autour de la friteuse parce que le couvercle n'est pas étanche j'ai eu plusieurs friteuse au cours de ma vie mais c'est la première fois que ça me fais ça

(Fantastic price Amazon! ❤️)No matter what ANYONE has said about negative reviews, this thing is easy to assemble, basket is EASY (unless you’re an absolute idiot 🙄) and no problems with any of it “staying” in, compared to what other reviewers have said.Easy-peezy to hook up, assemble and clean, just read your standard instructions. Otherwise it’s COMMON SENSE.You won’t be sorry. We use ours quite a bit. ☺️

This is an amazing deep fryer. The back plug-in though is very loose. I think it may be a safety feature ( your not suppose to move a large bucket of boiling oil anywhere. If you move the machine at all, the plug comes out. Asides from that this machine is amazing for the value if you have never owned a deep fryer.. BUY THIS ONE !! Deep fried pickles, deep fried onion rings, homemade chips, French fries, Yam, Squash, hundreds of recipes. Even if you suck at cooking.
