The leather is definitely not as thick or as sturdy as expected. It was advertised as 7/8 oz, which should be twice as thick as it is. It barely manages 3 oz in some places. Given leather is priced partially based on weight, this is far from a competitive price at $37 for a 12"x36" pre-cut piece. Otherwise, the leather quality was fine, evenly split, unmarred, no scratches, brands, holes, or other defects. Overall, I'm quite disappointed, though.

Great for beginners

AWESOME. no flaw or cuts on the leather, great quality, I used it for a horse halter and it is holding up great!

I was expecting more of a rectangle. 1 hole, 1 deep dent, several rough areas. It's about 50% usable. Won't buy from here again.
