KOHLER25-707-03-S Lawn & Garden Equipment Engine Spark Module Assembly (replaces 24-584-52-S, 24-584-64-S, Genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) part

Disappointed that i had to buy a kit from kohler to fix thier crappy engineering, but it seems to have fix the random misfiring problem. Instructions were easy to understand, but i also watched a utube on it before i ordered. Installed on pro30.

This is the 2nd set of these I installed in less than a year. Engine is up and running again. Since both coils failed simultaneously, I am hoping that it was just a fluke, maybe a 12v back feed, and these will last much longer. Check all your grounds and make sure to replace your battery at first sign of weakness.

This mower has been to the shop twice for extensive work to solve the problem of it just stopping after like 30 minutes. We could crank it till you were blue in the face, and it would not start. Leave it for and hour or two, best over night, and away you could go again for about 30 minutes. I saw a piece on YouTube about the faulty ignition system on this Koehler motor and as a last attempt, I went for it! Took less than 30 minutes! Mower started easily, but began to smoke. I shut it off, till the next day when I mowed. Again after a minute or two, blue/black smoke began to blow but I was outdoors, not in the garage, and it stopped after a few minutes. To my utter amazement, the mower ran like it did when we bought it, smooth running on both cylinders! I really think we ran this thing for like 7 years on one cylinder.

My motor is running like I just bought it. It’s stronger than the original coils. Hands down the best decision I’ve made for my zero turn.

This was purchased to replace an old failed coil. The new design fit perfectly on my Kohler 27 hp with horizontal shaft. It is not hard to replace or setup these coils, but it is time consuming. I did have to remove the engine from the ZTR to remove the flywheel cover and flywheel. It's not hard, but it does take a few hours. The instructions are pretty straight forward. There is also an easy wiring harness modification; whereas, you have to remove unneeded wires from the removal of the old units.

27 hp kohler twin, on a cub cadet gt 1554, was so easy to install gapped with a business card. Cut the white wire crimped blade in on wire tied it back up,put battery cables back on it fired back to life. Definitely do when engine is cold tried to do while was warm, nope ain’t happening

If you have a Kohler with coil issues (… seems to be a common problem…) Then this is the kit you need. This coil kit updates the factory 3-contact coils. Easy installation and works perfectly. My mower runs like new again.The only issue is that the instruction manual does not cover what to do with the red wire. All you need to do is splice the red wire from the original harness To the red wire which goes to the carburetor solenoid.
