Aircast SP (Short Pneumatic) Walker Brace / Walking Boot, Pediatric

I used this for a sprained ankle. After a few weeks of staying off my foot. This aircast got me back up and moving. I have smaller bones and because this cast inflates... It formed around my injury perfectly and kept my ankle and calf strong and stable.

Fit my 6 year old (almost 7) perfect! This is the same cast worn on the American girl move McKenna the gymnast who hurts her foot so that meant a lot to my daughter. Great quality and would recommend.

Size down! I wear a size 5 and I bought the size small as reccommended. It was so huge on me that I could not walk in it. I returned it and ordered the pediatric size and it fits me perfectly. Even with the correct sizing I found this boot extremely difficult to walk in. I couldn't figure out the problem until I tried the boot on without the shield that goes over the top of the foot/ bottom of the ankle. That could be specific to my injury but may be worth a try if others find this boot hard to walk in as well. Now with that shield off and with the correct size boot I have noticed a big decrease in pain while walking. I have a bone disease so I have worn a lot of braces throughout my life and I love that this inflates to the perfect amount of pressure, I would not go back to a normal boot after wearing this one!

Fit perfectly and was exactly as described!!! Sturdy and lasted a good while with my 8 year old in them!!!

I have no idea why the pediatric size is drastically more expensive than the adult size. However, it does the job without being too heavy and it's less unsightly than the black version. My daughter broke a toe and had to wear this boot for 3 weeks. It was simple enough to inflate the air sacs to fit her correctly. It did not rub or chafe anywhere. The padding moulded to the shape of her foot. It stinks of feet but it's summertime so I don't think that's avoidable.
