Arrived very quickly and well packaged. An eclectic collection of easy-to-read, informative and interesting commentary on the wines of Bordeaux and their history. Ideal for dipping into. A handsome volume that looks good about the house. This is the third Academie De Vin book I have bought - am very pleased with all three.

Ordered as an early Christmas gift for my husband. It looks a really luxurious gift and, from a glance, seems to contain a wide variety of tales from one of his favourite wine regions.

Be it a relaxing Sunday evening or the start of a lockdown Friday weekend, the short stories are a great way to accompany a glass of red wine. The book is a quality publication and the variety of writers and stories means you can pick it up and have a read for a few minutes without having to immerse yourself for a few hours.

Together with Jane Anson's Inside Bordeaux (very different though), this book is the closet way for me to understand that splendid region history, facts and people. A place to get some inspiration and anecdotes...
