The children love it!
We bought this for our child's second grade classroom. They already had a few and the children were always excited when it was their turn to use an Oodle seat. They almost have enough for the children to be able to use one every other day. The teacher loves them because they allow the children to "fidget" in a constructive manner without disrupting the classroom.

Heavy. More for older kids or adults. Made in the USA!
Oodle seat- the oodle seat is in three sections so you can decide how high or low you want to sit. It was assembled in approximately 2 minutes and you can choose stationary seating or a rocking/motion seat. We chose the motion seating. The seats indicate where the locking position is with imprints on the plastic and also the directions clearly show what successful assembly looks like. This is a very sturdy stool/seat and is very heavy which would be great in a classroom or therapy setting but in a residential setting, it’s heavy and bulky. My son turned it over on our hardwood floor and it was very loud. Probably would be much better on carpet. Also, this stool is for older kids or adults who don’t need any back support for a chair because this has no handles/arm rests or seat backing. This chair is great for older kids or adults who need an outlet for fidgety sitting and can rock or roll as they sit.Made in the USA!

Grows with your active kid!
This is the perfect desk chair for your active kids that will grow with them from K-12! You can add a section as they grow, and either leave on the wobble base for them to fidget freely, or remove it for stationary seating. You can even use this for 2 kids for a while while they're small by leaving the sections seperated.

Easy to change from wobbly to stable and height
This Oodle active seating stool is actually my second product from the Smith System brand. I had also gotten an adjustable desk from them as well and really liked it. So I was excited to give this stool a go as well, especially since my one son is constantly moving around on chairs. We have even gone through like 5 different bar stools for our kitchen island seating because he kept tipping them over and falling since he’s constantly fidgeting when he’s sitting and doesn’t even realize he’s doing it.Basically this stool is really self explanatory. It comes in 3 separate pieces that can be put together for older kids, or separated for younger. You also have the option of putting it on either a stable base or a wobbly base depending on your child or there mood. As far as ease of use, it’s super easy. The prices lock together and come apart easily and you just flip it over for one seating style over the other. My son really likes it and the color is bright and fun too. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that this thing is ridiculously priced. It’s nearly as much as the desk I got from the same brand and the desk is super nice. While this stool is nice also, it’s nothing fancy either. And the price point is just crazy high to me. But overall I’m happy with it and so is my son!

Unique fidget seat
My son has autism and ADHD and has used a variety of therapeutic tools for focus in class, including some fidget/wobble stools. He has a fear of falling, so many with narrow bases were not successful. I really like this Oodle Active Seating Adjustable Height Stool for the feedback it provides allowing him to focus and for its wide base for children who don't have great spatial awareness or core stability. It really is suitable for a variety of abilities and developmental levels and can grow with your child with the adjustable height, where other brands require you to buy the "next size up". I recommend trying it without hesitation!

Great adjustable Height Stool!
This Smith System Oodle Adjustable height stool is really cool, however it can be a bit difficult to twist off the pieces. Each seat is 17 inches in diameter and are in these heights based on how many pieces you have, with one piece it is 7.5" tall, with two you will be at a height of 13.5" and with all three you will be at a height of 19.5" this is WITH the Rocker base in place. Each stool is 6.5" tall. There is a max weight limit of 250 pounds. There is also a gray disk in the bottom that you can take out and have the curved side out to have movement while on the stool - this is great for kids as this can help them to move but stay focused without causing a disruption to others. This only has a 10º of rocking which means it doesn't go far enough over to make it feel like your falling over.SturdyWell madeEasy to insert and switch the movement diskCan be a bit difficult/stiff to twist off the stoolsThe price does seem steep, but these will last for well into double digit years as they are very well made.

Heavy, awkward, looks like a portable toilet
Perhaps I just had higher expectations for this product than was warranted, but it was a disappointment. First of all, this stool is HEAVY (almost 20 pounds). Not great for the modular piece of furniture I thought I was getting, and definitely not good for my young elementary age kiddos (not only do they have difficulty moving it on their own, I worry about them dropping it on a toe). It is a solid piece of plastic, so not comfy for the entirety of a class session, and taking apart the pieces to use separately needs to be done by an adult. Aesthetically, it is lacking, as it looks a lot like a portable camping toilet. There are better classroom seating options, especially for the current ~$115 price; for example, for a "fidget" type chair, a yoga ball is cheaper and more comfortable than this stool, and can be deflated for storage.Overall, this heavy, cumbersome, and uncomfortable stool was a huge disappointment. I will continue to seek other options for our at-home classroom, and do not recommend this chair.
