As wool socks goes, these dont "bite" the skin, rather are very soft. Warm-wise they are ok, but keep in mind they are thin, so if you work outside in winter time, they wont cut it. For winter's office use they are perfect.

These are very nice, comfortable, warm wool socks. My husband and I just got back from Italy and it got down into the 30s there. These socks really kept our feet warm. When you put them on, they look like they’ll be thinner, but they are a perfect thickness. Not too thin and not too thick. They are also extremely versatile. Depending on where we traveled in Italy, it would be down into the 30s but also got into the 70s and we could still wear these socks in both types of weather and be comfortable. I bought a package in men’s for him and a package in women’s for me. We both highly recommend these socks!

I wasn't sure how thick or thin these socks would be but they're just right for everyday use. Not so thin that you worry about holes all the time and not thick enough that your feet are hot. I'm wearing them with boots on colder days and with dress shoes and slacks and they work equally well for both scenarios.
