Keeps 'em fresh!
I've used the the banana bag twice now and I'm very pleased with the result. It does delay ripening as much as it reduces bruising. Brown dots appear on the skin but actual banana is a bit softer with no bruises. Tastes good, too. The bag has a foil lining and can be used to hold ice or keep grocery items cold.

IT WORKS!!!!
I use this for keeping lettuce fresh. I have used bags for many years and they did not work well. This item is fantastic and keeps the lettuce fresh for a long time. Thank you.

Not Worth It
Not at all what I expected and does not slow ripening as well as cheaper plastic bags. I purchased this because I thought it would be better for environment because they would be washable and last longer.... and plastic bags are... well plastic and don't last. These are huge and bulky and they do not work as well.

Works Fairly Well
Purchased these bags to store bananas to stop them from getting over ripe. They work fairly well but I only put 3 or 4 bananas in them. I like firm bananas and by the 3rd or 4th day, they are softer than I prefer but still within the way I like them. I do think warmer weather has an effect on how long the bananas last.

A great premise
I forgot all about my bananas when I put them in this bag. So, although it's a great premise and could very well keep bananas ripe for a longer period of time, it was pretty much wasted on me. I usually only remembered my bananas when I began to smell them in their rotten state. In my defense, I seldom eat bananas, I just liked to keep them on hand for guests, a bad cramp or the occasional smoothie. For the regular banana eater, this is probably a great way to keep them ripe a bit longer, which is why I gave this product the benefit of the doubt & rewarded it with three stars. For othèrs like myself who aren't big on bananas and hope this will extend the life of their uneaten bananas, just remember the saying: out of site, out of mind. Don't be surprised to find a yellow bag filled with rotten banana goo on your counter one day in the future.

Celery Storage Bag
This is a unique way to store celery. My crisper drawer cracked and I have had a terrible time keeping vegetables fresh. So far this bag is doing a great job. It does not take up as much space as a hard storage container. I am thinking of ordering another to try storing carrots or peppers.

It doesn’t work…for bananas 🍌
It’s a great looking bag, good quality, easy to wipe clean, a vibrant color yellow and well insulated. I use it to keep my waters cool during hiking. They should advertise its ‘other’ uses. Sadly, it doesn’t work for banana’s…

Preserve the skin color, but not the fruit
Like many homes in Appalachia, I've got well water that contains hydrogen sulfide. "Sulphur water". Bananas go overripe very quickly in my house and I am convinced it is due to the hydrogen sulfide. Tried this bag. Somewhat to my surprise, it really did keep the banana peel yellow with less brown spots for several days longer than laying on the counter top. But also to my surprise, I peeled my still yellow banana and found that the fruit was mushy and overripe, if anything worse than the ones on the countertop. I don't understand why this happens, but I repeated it a couple times: the peel stayed yellow, the fruit got mushy.

Celery went bad after 2 weeks. And how do you clean this bag?

Does not breathe. Basically incubated my bananas and they overripened and there was mold growing in the bag within the week. My parents have a banana bag that works amazingly well - the skins turn brown but the bananas do not get overripe for ages. This bag is a cheap imitation and if anything seemed to speed ripening.

Banana storage. While the skin still turns brown, the fruit inside remains as you like it.

Inside the bag the fruit or vegetable will sweat. It’s a must to add paper towels to absorb moisture. Bananas and mushrooms do last longer. About a week.
