Well made
After buying 2 different models (other manufacturer) the locked up when the kerf was set, this one works great! One minor comment. One of the Thumb screws came off the internal set screw so it would no longer lock. I took it apart (using metric allen keys) and applied a couple drops of REUSABLE Locktite (#242) and reassembled it. Works great once again.

Works well
This kerf maker does what it's supposed to do, however I had to research it's function on YouTube to learn how to use it as it had no instructions. I docked it one star because you have to be careful tightening it down or it locks up on you.

Just right
Nice unit, works as designed, very accurate and priced right. I have had no problems with it.

Does not move smoothly.
After loosening both wheels, closing the gold and gray sections. I set the kerf, however After I tightened the gold section wheel and untightend the gray wheel the gold and red sections would not move. I loosened the gold section wheel a bit so it could move but then the red and gold sections came loose so the kerf setting was lost. I think the machining was bad on mine.

Works as intended... but product misrepresented in photos
First off, the photos in this listing are a mixture of the Hongdui version of this tool, and this actual tool. The Hongdui has beveled edges along the top of the gold colored part while this tool does not... even though some of the photos show the bevel. There is even one photo that is of a Hongdui tool, when in fact this tool is NOT a Hongdui.Ratings...1 star for misrepresentation (shame on Mrs Bad for ths!)5 star for fuctionality and useabilityLet's face it, any of these tools are a basic copy of the Bridge City Kerfmaker. If Bridge City didn't charge such an outrageous price, I'm sure they'd have more customers that wouldn't buy Chines knock-offs. As it is, such is the way of the world and people don't want to pay more than what they believe it's worth... no matter the manufacture. This tool is well built with a nice finish and will work as intended. There's not much that can go wrong with it as it's operation is not overly complicated. I can't find any fault with the tool itself so no reason to return it, not to mention it was $8 to $13 cheaper than others offered on Amazon when I purchased it.A note to Mrs Bad... this tool can stand on it's own, as is, so no need to misrepresent it. It only makes you look bad for doing it. Fix the photos and I'm sure it'll still sell.Amazon needs the have the vendor fix the photos.

Good Jig
Seems sturdy enough. Ordered a cheaper one and returned it and went for this one after. First one did not slide after getting measurements and this one did. It's a little stiff after the kerf measurement, but hope it will smooth out with more use. They look mostly all identical and maybe they are all from the same manufacturing company. ???. Anyhow, it's very accurate. I'm a tool junky and money is just burning a hole in my pocket.

Very good once you calibrate it…
Knockoff of a high quality, high priced, American made BridgeCity tool. No instructions, no website to reference, nothing but a nice box to keep it in. Once I figured out how to use it, the resulting dado cuts were a bit too tight. I added two layers of duct tape to one edge of the material width adjustment leg and now it makes repeatable dado slots. I’ll have to add or remove layers of tape to vary the dado slot width as necessary.Once you get it set up with tape for the thickness errors, it’s a good value tool for the price, but it’s a poor Chinese knockoff of a quality, precision American made tool. I won’t use it very often, so a cheap tool is satisfactory. If I was going to use it often, I’d pony up for the BridgeCity tool.
