C by GE Full Color BR30 Smart LED Light Bulb, 65W Replacement, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi, Works With Alexa + Google Home without Hub (Packaging May Vary)

I have had one for two years and it still works. I got more for my new apartment. They’re easy to use and work great.

I think the C by GE brands the best. Very easy set up.

I love this Bulb it works with the Alexa of course, and it's a super simple setup. I have a lot of smart home stuff and a few of them are a pain in the butt this was a nice easy setup works great I'll probably buy more of them...

I’ve tried various smart standard lightbulbs in table lamps over the years and find them to be more trouble than they are worth. Some of these bulbs required hubs that can lose their connection, and all of them benefited from using an app. The three I currently use are from the same brand and use a hub.The C by GE full color direct connect LED BR30 smart 65W light bulbs, made in China, do not require a hub and are customized by using the Cync app. I decided to try these smart floodlights since I’ve never tried this bulb shape before. I screwed the bulbs into my media room’s canned lights, connected them to the Cync app, and customized each with their own color.Both bulbs are controlled by one of my Lutron Caseta smart home dimmer switches and the Cync app. Even though the light switch is a dimmer, these bulbs require the use of the app to dim. I can only turn them on/off from my Harmony Elite remote using the smart switch, as the bulbs themselves are not compatible with Harmony remotes. Although, the bulbs are controllable with Alexa and Hey Google.With the app, I can create scenes and control the bulbs, but since I use competitors’ products, they don’t all work together. These bulbs are nice for setting a scene in a room and would work well for parties, mood lighting, and piano performances.The C by GE full color direct connect LED BR30 smart 65W light bulbs are simple to install and work well. My primary issue is the lack of compatibility with my other smart devices. Additionally, I am in the process of modernizing my canned lighting where screwed bases are no longer used. There aren’t adapters that I’m aware of that would allow me to use these bulbs once all my canned lights are replaced.If you are looking for customizable smart floodlights, these may work well for you. Only one bulb connected to Wi-Fi

I was a little hesitant at first when buying these because i wanted the Full Color BR30 Philips Hue bulbs but they were out of stock! I am very impressed by these and glad that i did buy these! I like the ease of use with the app!

I was looking for a bulb that would allow me set a scene for the both the colors to change at a rate and between colors that I could choose. I asked before I bought if I could do this, they said yes, and it's not true. It's also a really big floodlight and there is no reason that should be unlcear to me before buying it. And the app is terrible. It looks good but it's faulty, difficult to actually connect to the bulb, wants a ton of unnecessary permissions, and frequently disconnects. You can set a "scene" but it's just one color, it would change between colors. I have other bulbs that are from random Chinese companies that are easier, perform better, bulbs don't get as hot, and I actually CAN set up actual scenes. Frankly I pretty shocked that it was such a big mistake to buy a GE bulb, I though it would be worth it to spend more for the name brand but wow I'm returning this immediately. Would have been a lot cooler if they didn't lie to me to induce me to buy something I wouldn't have without the lie. Very disappointing, won't be buying again

Granted I purchased this from Amazon Warehouse, so it was most likely someone else's return. Unfortunately, we were going to change the lights, so I held off on programming 'til just today - and found out one of the bulbs is faulty.While one works beautifully, like my other C (now Cync) bulbs, one only partially works: it will only work on a very few colors - and then turns off completely if trying to make another color (e.g., is fine on candlelight, but will not do orange).Somewhat of a pain to reprogram (which you have to do to get it to work if someone else tried or did program them before), but not absolutely terrible. If not using with the GE app, Google Home has only certain colors that the lights can be programmed to, not millions. Still, it's really nice and adds to the ambiance of the room, especially when in a niche and paired quite close together. (For the Fall, candlelight and red looked quite nice together.)Perhaps the warehouse should test these before trying to resell - or let people know they don't work. Still, even the limited bulb contributes - and does provide light.

A pesar de que en la descripción se indica que es compatible con Alexa, se requiere la skill Cync o C by GE para poder utilizarlo, oh sorpresa esta skill no está disponible en México y no hay forma de conectarlo.No deberían promocionarlo con compatible con Alexa.

El foco en si funciona bien pero no conecta con alexa en mexico y aun si lo hiciera al parecer el skill no les funciona bien en usa. Aparte en la app de cync a veces ni se conecta cuando otros focos nunca me fallaron asi. Mi recomendacion es comprar otra marca de focosEdit:llego una actualizacion del foco y se desincronizo con la app, pesima compra

No pude usarlo pues la aplicación para operarlo no se puede descargar en Mexico.
