Needs improvement, okay for the price
Original Review:Haven't used much yet but product is very well constructed and very easy to assemble. Straps are a little lacking but look strong enough.Update 3-29-2021I have had more time to use it and I need to take at least two stars off.The bad...1) The battery door cannot be accessed when the display is fastened. This is a ridiculous thing that should have never made it past the design stage. At first I thought "no big deal, as long as the battery life is 1 year or so I don't mind loosing the display to change the batteries". Unfortunately I had to change the batteries after not even a week. If the second batch of batteries only lasts a week I'll probably eventually wire up a 3V power adapter. This is absolutely terrible as these basic electronics should last forever on a set of batteries. My short term solution was to install some black plastic standoffs with longer screws. This allows easy access to the battery compartment. Fortunately I had both of these parts but I doubt this will be the case for the average consumer2) There is a space for pulse but there is no pulse. Why not include it? Seems silly especially when it cycles through pulse during the "scan".3) The resistance is too low even at higher settings. I think I can make due by upping the speed but this machine probably only "hard" for relatively small people with low muscle mass. Settings 1-5 are easy even for my small children. The tension is slightly more appropriate for rowing but even then it is weak.4) The spring loaded pin that holds the seat snaps out of place when biking. There is a conical taper on the pin and the engagement with the holes in the rail is insufficient. The taper on the pin should be sharper or the holes should be larger to provide deeper engagement. I will probably have to modify this as well.5) The right crank arm was loose. I popped the dust cap and tightened with a metric socket but this probably not a tool the average consumer will have.6) Foot straps on rower are very uncomfortable without shoes. I prefer to avoid shoes if I can. Admittedly this might not be an issue for some. I am going to add some strap padding to see if that takes care of the issue. The good...1) The adjustable seat is a great feature and is well designed and well constructed.2) The folding feature is well thought out although I will never use it.3) General build quality is still quite good but plagued by easy to solve issues.

Great Combo Option
I bought this for my parents as I have something else for myself. This works well for them as they're in their 60s.If I'm looking for cons:- Basic system without app connectivity.- Tension steps are limited (which is fine for most users.)- Measurements are basic compared to high end systems.Pros:- Obviously having a combined row machine with recumbent bike is a 2 for 1, giving exercise options and saving space.- Probably the biggest pro above other choices (particularly for the older crowd) is the height being near chair level rather than near the ground. This makes it much easier to get on and off.Overall, great buy with no complaints as long as you don't expect high end. This product should really target the older audience as a great way to get a light, near-full body exercise that takes about a yoga mats worth of space without being miserable to use.

Home Gym Addition-Updated
Please read this before you purchase: I'm amending my review based on my experience with this product and the manufacturer. I'm downgrading my rating from four to two stars. The machine has been discontinued and there is no warranty, no replacement parts, nor any support. That, I believe, should be noted in the description. Additionally, the pin used to hold the seat in place is faulty. The seat jerks back creating a potential safety issue. When I initially wrote my review I hadn't subjected the equipment to a full-out workout.Though the unit is basically sturdy, in addition to the faulty pin, it has its limitations. As other reviewers mentioned, there is little to no resistance as you ramp up the tension irrespective of whether it’s the bike or rower. You have to get to the max (#8) to feel a significant difference. One way to get around the bike/tension issue is to use ankle weights. Since I’m looking for a cross-training option to treadmill/ elliptical/weight training, if I can resolve the pin issue this unit will be an acceptable choice for me.

Love it
I love my rowing machine great work out very sturdy only thing I don't like is you have to take counter off to replace batteries but that's ok 4 screws would definitely recommend this item. tension is great . Would buy again

Beware! Poor customer service!
Everything was fine for two months then bike started slipping tension, I emailed company for warranty resolution. It's been over 10 days and I feel I am getting the runaround from SereneLife. No answers and I am the only one reaching out to try and get this resolved. It should not take this long to give an answer, whatever their warranty outcome is. Be cautious about purchasing this because customer service appears to be awful if something goes wrong with this product.

Thumping noise while pedaling.
After several days of use, a loud clunk was heard after every rotation of the peddles. Return for refund was simple.

I am glad I got it and feel like I got a good value for my money.
The product came packed very well. It was easy to put together. My husband put it together in maybe an hour without any trouble. He mentioned that it was well built and looked expensive. It's very quiet and is exactly as described. It functions as a rower and cycle. Pros: As I said quiet, the seat has a back which is a plus as a rower. The resistance is easy to use and for me, is very adequate. For the cycle, the seat has many settings to adjust to. Also, there is a little lip on the bottom of the digital display that you can put a phone or tablet on. Cons: If you like handles to hold on to for a cycle, it doesn't have any. I am 5 foot and I don't get full range of motion when legs are flexed. There is plenty when legs are straight so would be good for someone tall.Overall, I am glad I got it and feel like I got a good value for my money.

Good fit for our family
One adult with a bad lower back and one with bad knees. The bike and rowing option work for both of us without getting 2 different machines. Took awhile to arrive but it only took 45 minutes to setup. Tensioner I thought was a bit weak but I was wrong. It worked great.I would like to see how long the rollers hold up on the seat but time will tell on that part. The seat may be a bit small for some, especially for long-distance riders.Overall I was impressed with the price and the machine.
