August 2021 Update: the outer jacket of rope totally disintegrated in less than 8 months. Changed to 1 rating.Original review: This line comes with a piece of yellow heat shrink tubing at each end. Not the kind with adhesive inside, just plain. It almost immediately falls off, exposing an un-whipped line that will fray.Bought CE white heat shrink 3/8-3/16" from HD, p/n 157 801.Cut it down to 1-1/2" and slide it on. Form a slight mushroom in the end of the line with a charcoal lighter when melting/whipping it, then let it cool. Heat shrink the HD tubing with about 1/4" hanging over the end. Now it is protected and won't come off.

Good quality rope. A pain to install since the old rope broke, but oh well. Hoping it lasts many years. Used different clips which are more weather resistant than those provided. Very happy with the purchase.

When I opened the rope, unrolled it, and cut it to length, I realized that part of the wire is sticking out from the side of the rope. Unfortunately, it's right near the middle, so nearly impossible to pull the trimmed wire and to get it smoothed out. Pretty disappointed. This rope is junk.

After only six months there are several areas on the rope where the exterior braiding has become frayed and separated from the core. Although the wire center is still intact, the rope looks terrible now and I will have to replace it before winter weather comes to the north.

This rope is very good quality. I will definitely order this again years down the road when I will need to replace it. I highly recommend buying this.

I'm very disappointed in the durability of this product. I purchase this halyard rope in May 2021 to replace the weathered and worn rope that was original to my flag pole that was installed in 2005. This product did not last 4 months before I noticed the steel center cable being exposed in several places along the rope. As I went over to inspect the situation, the braided polyester rope was turning into dust. Touching the rope, it left a powdery residue on my hands. This product is not worth purchasing, it will not last long at all.

I bought and installed this in May 2021. It is now September 2021 and the outside skin is disintegrating. Do not buy this product, it is worthless!!!!!! Piece of JUNK!!!!
