Teaching U.S. History Through Children's Literature: Post-World War II

This book is a list of books to read and use for history. She gives clear explanations for each book and literature prompts, vocabulary, ect. to use with each book. Every book we have chosen out of this book and her other book Teaching US History through Children's LIterature Colonial Period to WWII. This is a great way to teach history through books...it keeps them much more engaged than a textbook would and gives them a gestalt of viewpoints that enriches their learning.
