Must be perfect the first time or you're sunk
It is fairly flimsy and it will be interesting to see how it holds up over time. The worst part is the pins are one use only and bend very easily when trying to push them in. So if they don't all go in perfectly the first time without bending, you have to try to pull all of them out, which doesn't work without destroying them and you have a worthless hunk of aluminum. Since one of the pins immediately bent and would not go in, I had to try to pull them out. They all pulled away from the strip and broke trying to pull them out of the holes. I had to drill my own holes in the strip, countersink and find screws to use it, which defeats the purpose of having the mounting hidden beneath. I would not buy this again unless the pins were redesigned so they would not bend so easily.

Good looking and can be easy to install
I replaced all the gold transition strips in my condo with these. They look great and hide the nails. I have some trouble installing them though and they don't bend to well when transitioning from carpet to tile. The screw holes have to be near perfect for the plastic fasteners. If they are off and you don't hammer them in place just right then the fasteners will bend and ultimately break. Don't get me wrong, these transitions are great, just be careful when installing them.

This trim looks great. I love the fact that the fasteners are hidden. I use it to transition from hardwood to linoleum. There is a slight elevation change, and this trim handles it well. Once you push it down into the floor, the barbed fasteners seem to hold it in place well. I was able to cut this with a 10" compound miter saw with a 40-tooth carbide utility blade on it. A nice slow and steady motion through the material gave me a perfect cut. The only thing I hated doing was drilling holes in my floor, but that is only a bit worse than nailing holes into the floor with traditional trim.

easy to install
This threshold was easy to install and serves the purpose of covering the gap between 2 different floor types. Only problem, after a bit of use one end popped up. Had to nail it down, no big deal. Still looks good.

Well Designed Product
This transition strip is so nice, I could hardly believe it! It worked totally well on my 1948 house where nothing is square. The plastic fasteners took up the irregularities in the floor and came through as a really straight installation. Just be sure to take your time drilling and measuring the exact location or the holes and you're in business.

Works fine but take care with the install
These transitions install a little different than what I've installed in past so you'll have to take care that you don't mark the trim on the baseboards at each end. Might suggest that you put some painters tape on the baseboards to avoid marking them with the ends of the transitions. Also take care to tap evenly along the transition otherwise you'll bend it too much and cause it to kink. It's thin material and prone to damage. I got mine installed fine and it holds down as expected and I really like not having screw heads showing.
