Your mileage may vary, but I found the size 12 to be a bit too narrow for me, but I do often order wide sizes, so maybe I am too wide for them. The leather starts out so stiff that it would chafe and burn the skin in just a few minutes of walking. But after a couple weeks either the leather got softer or conformed to my foot. Now they are quite comfortable. Note there is no padding, just leather and tire rubber, so they are not as cushy as some that have foam beds. But I can walk a mile or two in these no problem. I like that they have no plastic (are the rubber soles biodegradable I don't know).

We ended up returning the shoes. The length was good but the heel straps were too loose and allowed the shoe to slide around too much. Trim and finishe were a bit irregular. Seller was great. Return processed promptly hubs was disappointed the shoes wouldn’t work for him

I normally wear a 9.5 and have done so for years. Unfortunately, the sandal does not come in half sizes. The recommendation on Amazon - not sure who's making the shoe size recommendations - was to order a 10. I did, and it was too large. I returned it for a 9, and it fits fine. I had absolutely no problem with the Westen Shops. My account was credited when the return was verified, and I got the new pair exactly as promised. I would do business with Western Shops again.

I wore these on our Honeymoon to the Florida Keys! Love them! They loosen up over time, but are a great look and comfortable! Love this purchase!
