SNAPTAIN SP650 Pro 2.7K Drone with Camera for Adults 2.7K HD Live Video Camera Drone for Beginners w/Voice Control, Gesture Control, Circle Fly, High-Speed Rotation, Altitude Hold, Headless Mode

I’ve been wanting a drone for some time, but was wary about spending too much $$. After days of research, I bought a Snaptain SP650 and I’m really glad I did. After flying it for a few weeks, I noticed that there was a Snaptain SP650 Pro model that had a higher resolution camera (2.7k vs. 1080p) , longer flight control range (120 meters vs. 80m for the SP650) and some other minor enhancements.And then there were two… I liked the SP650 so much that I decided to also buy the SP650 Pro – what a great decision. The SP650 Pro, like the SP650, is super easy to fly, especially for first-time drone pilots. Since it’s less than 250 grams, there’s no registration required. Also, both models use the same batteries, so the extra 4 pack of batteries I bought for the SP650 will work on the Pro. Each drone came with two batteries and extra propellers, so that’s a lot of flight time at approx. 12 minutes per battery.Here’s my observations after flying both Snaptain drones (SP650 and SP650 Pro) for a few weeks:• They are very responsive to the controller and I found that it’s super easy to get started by flying in “headless” mode. Both drones fly identically, with respect to maneuvers, speed, response, etc.• I’ve flown in winds up to about 7mph and found that the drones respond best when flying in the highest speed to prevent drifting from the wind – or worse yet, having the drone fly away on its own.• When taking photos, be sure that the micro SD card (not included) is formatted for FAT32. It is not specified in the manual.• I recommend using the included blade guards so in case of an unplanned landing, the chances of damage to the propellers is reduced. I had a few crashes early on with the SP650 and it’s still flying like brand new. They both are pretty rugged drones.• I put labels that describe the button functions on the controller – it helped me get used to the flight functions very quickly. (see the photo).• Overall, I really satisfied with these drones. I had a couple of questions and emailed Snaptain customer service - and got a response within 24 hours. Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I love the fact that you don't have to be an experienced drone pilot to enjoy flying this drone. It has altitude hold and headless mode so you can operate the drone easily. The 2.7k camera snaps beautiful photos. I can still see myself quite clear in the picture took from 300ft high. It has 3 speeds and you can totally enjoy your flight in different speeds. 3D flips feature is also pretty cool. The drone flies very well and is super responsive. All as advertised. I highly recommend this drone.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  The first thing I noticed about the drone was the fact that it came with extra batteries. This meant that when my kids were playing, the other was charging and vice versa. This is a plus in my book. It only took about 2 hours to fully charge. We played with it in the house to get an over all feel for it before taking it outside. Part of the unique design is that the red light is in the back of the drone and green is in the front. The battery pack has easy access. The controller is easy to understand and manage. We had it spinning and flying around the house in no time. We then took it outside where we found that it actually flew very high and took some pretty good footage. There are buttons for everything including a flip button. The drone beeps and has sensors to check and make sure the area around it is clear and then flips. It has 3 speed settings that make it even more fun to race through the sky or to glide and take videos. It is super cool. This was fun for my son who is 13 and roommate who is 33. I think this would be fun for many ages and highly recommend this product and brand specifically. The seller got us the drone very quickly, and was easy to work with as well. If you want a fun toy as and adult or a child and like the idea of piloting or photography or even just doing fun tricks, this is the product for you!

This little thing is awesome! I have absolutely zero experience with drones, but the entire package was easy to put together and understand. The user manual has been my best friend, and any issues I had (100% user error!) the answer to correct it was in there. The remote is easy to use and the picture quality was good. The kit came with two batteries and extra blades, which is awesome. I'd highly recommend this to anyone without any experience that is looking to purchase a drone!
