Or how well penguins can see? What they do for fun?There are interesting photos of all of the types of penguins and lots of useful information in an easy to read format about each type.Recommended!

This is a really cool book. Children would love it. Great book to use as a project for those homeschooling. I plan on using it with my homeschooling.

My grandma likes to draw and watercolor and asked me to get her some pictures of penguins. I couldn’t find any good drawing books just of penguins, so I started looking for nature books and came across this one. It was perfect the pictures are beautiful and the book is very informative.

My son enjoyed this book. Interesting information and good pictures. I would have liked it to be a little more visually engaging to really hold his interest, that said well worth picking up.

I loved this book.Yes, it is for young audiences, but I love penguins and this book gives a great, but short look into different species of penguins. The pictures are crisp and clear making this book a great one to read and look at.

I have several of Kay de Silva's books from her "Our Amazing World" Series. While I enjoyed the facts in this book I found the illustration to Sentence ratio too low, which led to many pages not having photographs. I was also slightly disappointed in the illustrations as not all of these photos had as much awe factor as some of her other books. Even with these issues, I enjoyed the book.This book not only covers penguins in general, but also gives more detailed information regarding 9 of the 17 species of penguins.She talks about their habitats, touches upon mating habits and hatching their young. I would have liked to have seen more of their everyday life, but I realize that would have increased the file size.All of the photographs are captioned and various species of penguins are labeled and shown throughout the book.I viewed this on a 17" screen using both the Kindle App for PC, the Cloud Viewer and an iPad with the following results:KINDLE FOR PC: the illustrations seem small for a children's book and cannot be enlarged. You can see the concept title, photograph and concept factoids on one page.CLOUD READER: Even with the smallest font and the largest margin, I cannot get the title, photo and factoid paragraph on the same page. It usually took three pages per concept. However, by manipulating the margin size the photo can be enlarged to fit most of the screen.iPAD: While reading the story the illustration fills about 1/4 of the page, however to see more all you need to do is tap the picture and it will enlarge to fill the entire screen, (enlarged photo best scene on landscape orientation). Even in Portrait orientation many of the concept "chapters" cannot be viewed on one page. Therefore I recommend reading in landscape orientation so that you don't have to keep turning it to enlarge the photo to fill the full screen.Part of the problem is caused by extra large spaces between paragraphs.This book has a clickable Table of Contents.I recommend this book.

I got this book for my boys because they are into books with pictures of animals. They loved it! The information is very interesting, and the pictures are amazing! I am definitely interested in more titles from this author.

Was going to South America. This gave great insight about penguins!

My children aged 12 and 9 love this series of books. Filled with beautiful pictures and interesting facts, they are great easy to read animal books.
