It's easy to change over and makes a lot of difference it add a little bit of counter weight makes Oculus more comfortable regulation size is nice it work on small children and "Big boys" I mean Husband :-)

I’ve been using my headset with the supplied head band, in which I found very unbalanced with all the weight at the front and nothing at the back and was worried it would fall off as it never felt tight enough.I came across this head strap from Vakdon, whilst searching for the higher priced version from the original manufacturer. After reading these reviews and looking at the supplied photos. I decided to purchase this one.I received it a short time ago and set about replacing the original head band. It only took approx 10 minutes to swap them over and immediately, you could feel the headset evenly balanced and with its ratchet knob at the rear, it was well secure and wasn’t going to fall off easily.I will say this, if you change your headband to use this head strap. Fit it and leave it. Don’t keep swapping back and forth. As this was a very secure fit and if you keep swapping, you could end up either breaking the securing clips or make the head strap very loose.I’m very impressed with this head strap and I, along with many other reviewers, highly recommend this head strap. I was ummimg and arring , browsing through all the options for alternative strap for quest 2. I settled for this one. At first, with the instructions supplied, it's not quite clear on how to attach the strap. Take the face cover out of your oculus first and remove the stock strap, then on this one turn the wheel counterclockwise which will extend the strap then you'll get a better picture on how it goes together. It's not difficult once you figure it out, they clip onto the built in ear peices on either side of headset. It's far mover comfortable and it just sits better. The padding on the back just spreads the applied pressure so your skull doesn't feel it's in the vicegrip of a large, ill tempered lobster. I four starred it because i think its overpriced for what it is, the strap wheel is pretty crunchy as you turn, and parts of the strap looks cheap, like the the black strap that goes over the top of the head . I never leave reviews, but i did for this to help those of you who like myself, are too tight to pay for the actual oculus strap but wants an upgrade from the terribly uncomfortable stock strap. Also i forgot to add it relieves pressure off your face aswell as back of head, so you don't look like you've been scuba diving in a sunbed for an hour after every use. Save yourself time looking and just get this one, you won't be disappointed. Then you can use the original strap to castrate cattle or to cut blocks of cheese with hhaha

Maybe I was unlucky and got a duff one off the production line ?The idea of the strap is good, but vague instructions didn't help much.I tried many times fitting this to my precious Oculus 2, it appears the molding of the strap attachments were very slightly mis matching the head set attachment. Was unable to fix in place without fear of damaging headset. Eventually gave up.Returned for refund.

For the price I would have expected a little bit more padding as all it came in was a plastic bag with a tiny instruction page which wasn't actually that help full. The strap was so hard to clip on to the panels that I really fought they was snap or break my strap completely on the actual headset That's the same as connecting the left to the left and the case for that is very tight and it keeped moving. The strap that goes over you head is cheeply made and vlecro is peling of not used it yet so will have to get glu to replase the velcro thats cuming off.

Decent bit of kit.On arrival I was a bit dissapointed, the head strap looked cheap, brittle and uncomfortable, the black strap for the top of your head looks out of place and the mechanical clicking of the tightening dial was loud and clanky...After I got it all assembled and tightened down though, my initial concerns were completely gone, the head strap tightens down well (not that you even need it too tight) and the top strap actually golds really well, the design allows me to route my link cable around my head and attach it to the back of the strap keeping it well out of my way.The padding on the strap does the trick but will need cleaning from time to time and if I could change anything, it would be to swap the top strap for a gray one like the original.

Excellent headstrap.. I bought this as a stop-gap because my over priced and not fit for purpose Oculus Quest 2 headset strap snapped and after 2 months of light use.I could see and feel that the Vakdon Q2 head strap was superior to the official Elite strap in every way.Facebook finally got around to sending me my replacement Elite strap with battery after about a month of waiting and multiple emails.I think I'm going to stick with the supremely comfortable Vakdon Q2 for the foreseeable.

I didnt want to spend too much on additions for the Oculus Quest 2 after spending so much on the device itself. This is a good cheaper alternative to the £50 Official headstrap.The only downside to it is if like me you have bigger ears, you feel the plastic forcing your ears over. You also cannot do the double tap to turn on the camera to see what's in front of you.Otherwise, its comfy, secure, affordable and easy to install. I would recommend for longer periods where security and comfort is needed. But for short casual experiences, stick to the core strap or, if you have money to burn, but the official one.
