RockportMen's Northfield Waterproof Boot

These are really great casual shoes. Very comfortable but sturdy. The soles are whisper quiet but heavy duty. They are not heavy shoes but I would not call them lightweight. Just right. They are really well made and look very nice like a designer work boot. If they get scuffed, you can easily polish them. They were a little stiff to start at first but like all good leather shoes break in real nice. They are elegant in their simplicity. For the money these are really great deal.

Only problem with them is they wear out too quick.They only last for 6-8 months tops.

Over the course of several weeks I tried to find new dress boots online as well as via a large super mall. After two unsuccessful attempts with Amazon - 11.5 Chucka Boot and 10.5 W Rockport Storm Surge - I landed on these Rockport Men's Northfield Waterproof Boot in the 11.5 W size.My previous boot sizes (Merrill and Timberland) would range from 10.5 W to 11. My Merrill's are brown, purchased from Dicks, are extremely comfortable and suitable for hiking, but not going out. My Timberlands look pretty good, but have been re-glued/sown about three times now and have never been very comfortable, requiring an aftermarket insole to get even close to wearable for long periods.The biggest issue I generally have is my thick instep, which makes boot shopping very frustrating.Rockport Men's Northfield Waterproof Boots fit very well with thick socks, and allow me a bit of wiggle room for comfortable wear on stage, which is their primary use.At the super mall, I tried about a dozen brands, including Dockers and some others which I found to be very uncomfortable. After being exposed to 100s of people at the mall, I came down with a bad cold, which made me glad to go back to the online option. Prices in stores are out of control too, so I am happy with this purchase all around. These Rockport Men's Northfield Waterproof Boot may not be 100% what I was after in terms of style (maybe 80%), but I wore them for a gig, a 4-hour workshop, and an 8-hr drive, and they passed with flying colors. I'd keep them around, even if I find something more stylish, which is not very likely .

I wore these new Rockport boots on a recent trip to Stockholm where we did lots of walking (18k steps one day!) and was very pleased with their fit, comfort, and water resistance in the autumn Swedish drizzle. My first impression was how light they are, compared to the heavy-duty Italian trekking boot I typically wear. The exterior finish has held up well. I would rate these as an excellent value and would purchase another pair down the road. A very nice casual travel boot.

This boot fit true to size and you can wear it with a heavy sock, Very good to walk in, sturdy but very light. I didn t have any problems with this boot. Water proof and sole is moderate lug so doesnt catch a lot of dirt to track into the house. Ive been looking for this type of shoe made by Rockport for 15 years and finally found them on Amazon Prime. Very similar to a pair I purchased about 20 years ago. Very nice boot and would buy it again.

Im 44 yrs old and I wear 11.5 shoes. Since 2002 I've had to wear an afo brace inside my right shoe because of drop foot that I have from an accident to my pelvis and sciatic nerve. Some shoes I can get away with normal width and some shoes I have to wear wide. I chose 11.5 wide and I am very happy that I did as these shoes had a slightly smaller toe box and narrower overall width than a similar style of Skechers boots that I own. These boots are very comfortable and hug my ankles with support as I need because of the drop foot. After a few hours wearing the skechrers my feet are hurting pretty bad from the afo brace rubbing on my ankle. These boots support my ankle and have a pretty comfy insole and to my surprise I can wear these boots all day without a problem. I usually cannot do that with boots like this style. I will either start to get a blister on my ankle or top of my foot or a callus, which are excruciatingly painful for me, on the ball of my foot or outer side edge of my foot. I am sold on Rockport shoes, my father and my grandfather both wore Rockport shoes and now it looks like I will as well.

January 2022PROS: Affordable. Look good - a step above men's work boots. Doesn't look like a clown-shoe like other men's boots. Comfortable. Good strong laces and eyelets. Plenty of room for my toes and no rubbing on my heel. Plenty of color options.CONS: Quality. I have two pairs of these boots, and both make a "schwack" sound when I walk. Very annoying when you're walking in a quiet space with other people around. Not sure if its the leather upper where the toes bend snapping back into shape, or something in the sole, but every step makes that noise. Little to no insulation. Even with heavy wool socks, my feet quickly feel cold when you're outside on a cold day for more than a few minutes. Tag that came with boots mentions synthetic leather, but I'm not even sure which part of the boot is synthetic.These are "good enough" boots for me. I don't want to spend $400 for a high-quality pair of boots as I'm not that fashionable and I don't need work-quality boots. I don't expect these to last a lifetime and I'm not torturing them by walking in heavy snow or wet conditions. If you're constantly having to walk in wintery or wet conditions, I'm not sure I'd recommend these. But for in the home/office or around town, they're fine.

No wonder that Rockports are recommended by Podiatrists and Chiropodists. Excellent quality, comfortable and fits perfectly. Reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Las botas en general por lo regular son un poco incómodas al principio hasta que se van aflojando pero estás botas son suaves desde el principio.

Excelente producto, muy suaves, ligeras y bonitas botas para el día, no cansan en largas jornadas. Ya he comprado dos pares ( negro y chocolate) para mí y un par más para mí hermano que dijo que quería otro de otro color. Así de recomendables son.

My other half loves Rockport. First bought the black and he said it's really comfy. So got him another pair in brown.
