We were dissatisfied with the table that came with our a-frame pop-up camper trailer, primarily because it was really awkward to set up and take down, and the folding legs took up a lot of floor space. A single Artilife Pedestal now supports the table and frees up quite a bit of room. Being adjustable means that we can leave the table up, even with the wall and roof panels folded down for travel. The seller advises disassembling the pedestal if it is mounted in a boat or camper that will be traveling faster than 5mph. However I think this would only be necessary if the table is left free-standing in order to prevent torque-induced stress that could bend the column or uproot the base. So we found that we could anchor one end of our table by latching it to an abutting interior wall and thereby minimize torque against the pedestal from stops and starts and bumpy roads. The table now sits firm and steady in our dinette area most of the time, but can be quickly lowered to bench height so that the area can be made into a second bed. And the finish quality of the Artilife pedestal is quite polished and pleasing. Very happy with this upgrade!

Not inexpensive but better than alternnatives

I put this pedestal on a 24 by 36 inch rectangular table and found out that the tub that extends to raise the table doesn't fit securely in the base tube and as a result it lets the table wobble.

This is a nice looking solid pedestal. Just what I was seeking.
