Confusing to install but worth the mental effort.
I used these on a life-up cupboard door. The door was not very large, but it was custom built and I didn't want to screw it up. The math can be a bit confusing if you have no experience with these devices. Once figured out, however, these hinges work great, opening easily and closing quietly and completely. This was a great addition to a new kitchen installation.

Perfect for toy box
I used this on a wooden toy box with a lid that previously slammed shut with a loud slam. The arm was pretty easy to install, and definitely does what I needed it to do. Lid stays open while kids are digging, and no more slammed fingers or loud slams.

great product, easy to install and work great.
I made a cold food table with a plexiglass top with a 2x4 frame. Its made to put ice in and keep food cold for our outdoor gatherings. I did notice in the heat of the day with no ice inside the lid closed a little faster then when it had ice inside a was kept cool. (Because of the hydraulic oil being thinner in the heat) They were pretty easy to install also. All and all they work great especially if using indoors.

Instructions are worthless. Then, these things are over engineered and are junk overall. Find a better set.

Would not fit.
It did not fit my tool cabinet top compartment. So I really can't comment on the hinge. However, I do wish the advertisement would have stated the minimal depth of the compartment that it could be mounted in.
