How to Open & Operate a Financially Successful Private Investigation Business

I have prior law enforcement/investigation experience. I am presently a Security Investigator in Afghanistan and was interested in this career option in Private Investigations. In my research, I searched the web for answers and they all were short of what I was looking for just not detailed enough. I went on Amazon and discovered this book and it was exactly what I was looking for detailing every aspect of the business the good and the bad. This book is a good read and a good guide for anyone interested in seriously choosing Private Investigations as a career choice.

Books on this subject are often viewed as novelty items. Mr Cavallero is obviously an experienced professional . This book is very well written and has been a tremendous help to me in starting my business. The content has stimulated conversation amongst my fellow investigators and we await an advanced version .

Great book...comprehensive, easy to read and follow. It would be an even better book if it would include a more comprehensive PI business plan sample template; more information on how to, and where to find resources to, conduct a comprehensive PI industry competitive and marketing analysis; and industry pricing ranges for the different types of PI services (Background checks; Surveillance; Ski Tracing, etc) and security services (I.e. TSCM, Threat Assessments; Due Dilligence; Physical Security Assessments, etc).

This book is very concise and detailed for everything you need to know. it is well written and easy to find information that you need.

The main reason I purchased this book, listed as new, was because it was supposed to come with a CD containing document templates. When I received the book yesterday, I was extremely disappointed to find out that there was no CD with the book. I have been unable to find anybody to discuss this with so I am left with having to write it in a review. I will be returning the book.
