Great Potential, but put off by the presentation
I had really high hopes for this book, knowing there were a load of undeveloped James Bond projects around the Dalton/Brosnan era, so I was looking forward to seeing what these entailed. So, let's give some positives. The author is clearly passionate about his ideas and has done a lot of research and he's interviewed a lot of people. He's even met Roger Moore. But ...The book itself is extremely flimsy. Oversized and can't take its own weight. The spine creases as soon as you look at it And when you open the volume, what should be a triumphant shout of a title page is more of an apologetic whisper. The layout is at best amateur. There's a contents page with no page numbers. Title pages with headings and on the lefthand side of the book ... At least the illustrations are nicely presented (mostly). As for the material itself: the author did some interviews and then repeats the material here verbatum rather than offering insight, analysis or discussion. To be fair, there's a lot of material that other people might find interesting. I was mostly interested in the films, and that was finished by page 79.At the end there are pages of references that cite a single source, and appendices that don't really add to the topic.I was really excited about getting this, but wanted to send it back as soon as I'd got it out of the packaging.

Not as goog as i expected
The writer properly did a lot of research for this, But it's basically a book of interviews.

A Must For Every Bond Fan!
Mark Edlitz’s book is an incredible reveal of “what if” in Bond lore. What if Dalton did a third and fourth film as intended between 1991-1994? Edlitz found some long sought after screen treatments! Most of the unused James Bond scripts and ideas are kept top secret under lock and key in the EON vaults, however, Edlitz’s manages to find some of the screen treatments and gives us a glimpse into the creative process!I liked Wilson and Ruggiero’s 3rd Dalton film (sans robots), but I can’t see Dalton doing the Osborne and Davies screenplay. Reminded me too much of Moore, unless they wanted to reset after Licence to Kill. But Dalton’s 4th movie (Reunion With Death by Richard Smith) would have been awesome! I really loved that movie idea!Very well done book! Can’t put it down!

Like finding buried treasure
Fans of any series want to ingest as much material about it as possible, Bond fans are no different. What's fascinating about this incredible book is to get the opportunity to see "what might have been," in the Bond universe. This book is a must buy addition to any Bond fan's collection. It's a fascinating collection of stories you may heard rumors about in the past, brought into focus with conversations from the creators who were actually there at the time.

These are previously unpublished scripts and other sources of James Bond
The book is well written and pretty inclusive, mostly of scripts that were started for Timothy Dalton films that were never put into production, although there are also other James Bond adventures discussed. For those who want a "complete" James Bond library, it is a great addition.
