Mint again
Rickety tin would spill powder in your bag, flavor is chalky and doesn’t resolve as well as I thought it should. I have meds that desolve better. No coconut flavor just another mint toothpaste to waste money on. Ugh does no company on earth sell a toothpaste for grownups that’s not mint???

aftertaste
Great packaging - it's like getting toothpaste tablets in an altoid tin!The taste of this stuff is neat at first; coconutty and new. When you're finished brushing, it leaves a not so great aftertaste.

Ditch the tube!
Toothpaste tubes aren’t recyclable, these tablets come in a neat little tin, that’s recyclable in so many ways.

If you REALLY want to save the environment
As a novelty, these are pretty cool. A lot of people are making "toothpaste" tablets. I guess the appeal is less packaging to save the environment. And, more natural ingredients.Dentists still recommend fluoride toothpaste. I'd be hesitating about using a non-fluoride toothpaste on a regular basis. But, let's assume for the sake of this review you've made that choice. They smell good and taste good. I miss the mint of my normal toothpaste. But, some people find that overwhelming. They contain xylitol. So, KEEP THEM AWAY FROM YOUR DOG.The packaging is nice. But, I don't see any way to purchase the refills either on Amazon or on the manufacturer's website. If I have to buy this jar every month not only are they really expensive, I've got more waste than I would have with a tube of toothpaste that would last me a couple of months. 60 tablets might sound like a lot. But, if you brush the recommended two times a day, that's only a month's supply. It takes some getting used to putting something in your mouth, chewing, and not swallowing. But, after a couple of days, I didn't have the temptation to gobble the table down anymore. It produces a sufficient amount of foam (surprisingly) and my teeth feel pretty clean after.I guess I'm an evil person. But, I can't see switching to these because I think they're expensive (especially if I can't find the refills) and I feel like normal toothpaste protects my teeth better (fluoride).

A different way to toothpaste *update*
These tablets are very different compared to the typical toothpaste tube. The tablets are so easy to use! I like that each tablet has a pre-measured amount so there’s little to no waste or and no worries about using up too much toothpaste. It’s not messy and takes up less space compared to a regular sized tube. When I first tried it, it seemed like I was chewing on a mint that was light and airy. The tablets are very easy to chew and it foams up just like regular toothpaste when I started brushing. It has a great flavor which is not strong at all. It’s great for children as well as adults. My teeth felt very clean right afterwards and the clean feeling lasted throughout the whole day. I highly recommend it!*Update* I found a piece of blond hair inside the jar! Talk about being grossed out! I immediately returned it! Totally unacceptable!

Really good!
As someone who has traveled somewhat frequently in the past, I was always looking for ways to reduce the massive amounts of toiletries that I seem to need for just a weekend trip, let alone a vacation of a regular length. These tables are great as I can just put some in a small container that I already have, and not worry about being weighed down with more toiletries. These are small tablets that you simply pop one in your mouth, chew it up a bit, and get your toothbrush in there and brush. There is plenty of foam to make this feel like your regular toothpaste. There is plenty of toothpaste to last the entire time you're brushing. It does have a coconut scent and taste to go along with the mint taste, but that's okay as it is all natural. The packaging is mostly natural too, with a glass jar and not too much plastic involved. You can even buy a refill pouch of tablets to refill the glass jar. These little tablets create less waste, we don't have to have a whole tube of toothpaste when you can use these little tablets. I am all for reducing waste wherever I can.I'm really glad I got to try these tablets, I'm looking forward to trying other products by Dr. Ginger's.

Convenient But a No-Flouride Toothpaste
You can't beat these for the convenience factor - these tablets don't require squeezing toothpaste out of a tube - you just pop one into your mouth, start chewing, it foams up and you apply your brush. If the refills don't come with a glass jar each time, it would be beneficial to the environment. However, it looks like you get a new jar with every refill, so not so great. The best thing about these is their convenience for traveling, especially when you have to pack really, really light, like camping and backpacking. You can conceivably carry more than is allowed through airport security as a result of them being tablets and not tubes. The downside is that THERE IS NO FLOURIDE. I'm tired of these eco-types pushing "no flouride" toothpastes on the unsuspecting public under the guise of "it's healthier." No, it's not. I ordered several "natural" toothpastes recently that have no flouride and threw them out after I started getting cavities.Give me a Colgate Total with flouride version and I'll consider buying this. But no flouride? I'll use these tablets once in a while but not a regular basis.
