I had a set of these lights for years that I used in front of my picture window, but they burned out 2 years ago. I was so glad to find another set, especially one that offers the twinkling setting. Well...not exactly. My older version had a twist knob controller to use to choose solid burning or twinkling lights. In this set, you have to actually change out some bulbs, so you're basically limiting your choice to either solid-lights or twinkling. It's no big deal, and certainly not a deal-breaker. I'll stick with the solid lights and enjoy them.
